Based on the teasers, I dont think I'll be "updating" or adding these to the collection especially with the articulation. We will see when there's more details.
Wonder how they scale with that decent DC Multiverse Alfred, or is Todd going to make his own?
Totally agree would be more interested if there are going to be villains, not just maybe a Joker or Catwoman, but if some of them turn out like that Robin...nevermind.

I don't think a Catwoman headswap would work color-wise what with all that exposed neck (and Kitt being significantly shorter) but except for the helmet/collar difference all the Freezes wore the same basic outfit so that could work if you didn't mind a thin Otto

Isn't this a budget line like their My Hero Academia figures? I don't think we need to consider this a portent of redirection but expansion, into more kid-(and wallet-)friendly areas

I wouldn't hold my breath on McFarlane doing multiple heads with one figure. IIRC, he recently announced 3 versions of the same Batman: one is wearing goggles, another has the goggles up and the last has no goggles.

The leaked Target listing (DPCI 323-01-3615) with a $29.99 price for the Batmobile has to be a placeholder, right? Because otherwise... wow

I hope that doesn't mean plastic wheels like the Mego, er, I mean Mattel version :P

Looks like the cape and paint on the cowl were final after all, which is disappointing, but I'm a competent painter and sewing up a replacement cape should be no issue at all once I score appropriate fabric. What I'm digging are the clip-on onomatopoeia! Even if imperfect, for $15 or so I'm pleased (aside from those hips) and this series getting a budget line raises my hopes for more characters

Aaaaand I'm out. I quit Classified cold turkey after having already spent hundreds of dollars, I'm not putting a cent toward any line that will bring me stress. And making this Target exclusive is the perfect way to let me know in advance that this'll be more nightmare than anything else

It was nice to get excited about toys again, though. That hadn't happened since Classified, and before that when Todd got DC, and before that... I can't remember. But it's not often. And that really was a nice thing

Poignant post. Corporate fucks should examine this cat’s writings and come to the conclusion all on your markass fool own that you’re leaving money on the table when you do shit to alienate your customer base. Pigs.

And stop google image searching Marvel Legends and tweeting about how aching our wallets are gonna be you phoning-it-in non-fan loser shitheels who can’t seem to finish more than 2 iconic teams per decade.

Namaste.

Target will always exploit this behavior because there will always be suckers to bait. Just look at how people spend almost thousands of dollars for G.I. Joe Classified in the first place. Either you walk away from the insanity or continue to spend 24/7 online on pre-orders and hope you manage to get one and your order has a good chance of getting cancelled/go to every Target store.

I'll at least get the Batcave to go with my Mattel Batman 66 figures. I'll only buy into this figure line if they do more villains than what Mattel gave us, like Freeze and Egghead. Sadly the Batmobile doesn't look any better than the one Mattel made. I was hoping for more detail on it or built in gadgets. It actually looks underscaled for the figures and smaller than the Mattel version. Also they forgot to paint the bat symbols red on the tire hubcaps. Yup, for once Mattel made a superior product.

I hate exclusives as much as anyone but i really dont see this line as being hard to get at all. For one all the mcfarlane exclusives have been easy to get. Two these are pretty cheap figs i think alot of collectors will skip. Three target actually has been stocking higher quantities of all figs in the last month or so. Dare i say i see these pegwarming to be honest.

No idea why Joker doesn't have a moustache, or why Robin's cape is scalloped like Batman's... I'll still buy them all though haha

Yeah, I was intrigued at first, but that Batmobile looks way small compared to the figures.

Some rough (really rough) photogrammetry has it at roughly 16.5" inches, at least 2" inches shorter than it should be, but it's less the scale than the proportion; the seats are clearly too high and need to be chopped out because there's way too much room under their butts

IMO these won't be nearly as hard to find at Target as the Joe or SW exclusives since the casual collector probably wouldn't be interested in this era of Batman.

I was tentatively optimistic until I saw the figures in the car. For some reason, those off proportions really irk me. I'll pass for now and see how the line goes.

I might bite if I see them in store, the whole thing sounds cheap enough that the details don't bother me as much. I have NO idea why no one is doing this line in high quality though. They got all their likenesses to do $15 figures?

the Batmobile and Batcave look like they would actually scale nicely with the Mattel Multiverse 1:18 line

They did 1:18 '66 Batman??? Nobody told me! That's "vehicle scale" as far as I'm concerned, where the characters become accessories to the bigger goodies, so with all the vehicles and environs I wouldn't mind the size so much for this particular property

Between Mattel's 1:12 line, Funko and Mezco screwing up their 1:18 efforts, and now this, it feels like I'll never have a non-Mego-style Batman collection that manages to be competent or appropriately priced. At best it's one or the other (typically it's neither) and this license deserves better than it's gotten
