I just saw someone trying to hawk one on Ebay for 60.00 which is insane.

I think how badly you want it figures into buying it as well. I've paid what many would consider too much for figures before, but I REALLY wanted them and knew it might be my best/only shot at getting them.

I want to say these were 15-16 at retail? (Someone will correct me if I'm wrong), so I would say 20-25 is probably not unreasonable. Again, how bad do you want it?

I wouldn't be surprised if this figure is still pegwarming at a Walmart that one of the Arkers frequents. You might ask around first. You might be able to get him for retail + shipping!

Ok, after a quick search on ebay, just out of curiosity, I found another one for 64.00 and one for 34.00 which someone was bidding on.

And that was it. Did I miss something? Was this figure hard to find at retail?

If you don't mind me asking, how much is the asking price?

i think the price i gave him has £50 +£7.00 for next day delviery (1st class) = £57.00
which in US is $89.00 with P&P ! steap by the sounds of what over arkers have said although this is the second expensive figure i'm going to buy (non baf) and i think i'll stop after the Hulk Buster (3rd one) also im considering i dont get it from america cause i live in UK ? so lets say for america arkers you can get this figure only in the UK and want it how much would you get it for ? (example) Also the figure is in Mint Condition !

Boy, I dunno what to tell you.

I think this figure was a little more rare than I knew. Hell, I spend half my time overseas anyway, so I'm not really an expert on what is and what isn't in stores. BBTS, buddies and my wife hook me up most of the time.

If you're looking for what a decent price in the secondary market is, I think at this point, I'll have to bow out of the discussion and leave it to the others here.

However, when I am home, I hook up mates in the UK frequently. I don't charge them any more than what I paid for it, regardless of rarity. Heck, most of the time, I don't charge them ANYTHING, because why should they get dicked just because they live overseas?

£50 sounds like a lot to me though, mate. Bid on that one on ebay, ship it to my address and I'll ship it to you.

Other than that, again, I think it really comes down to how badly you want it. I think I paid about $100 for my Marvel Legends Stealth Armor Iron Man (MOC). But I had the money and I REALLY wanted that figure. So, if you REALLY want this figure and have the money, pull the trigger.

I dunno...I wouldn't pay that much for it, I'd be alot more impressed if you could remove the sunglasses. I'd love an accurate Robert Downey Jr. headsculpt in either 6 inch or 3.75 inch scale so I could do a Sherlock Holmes custom.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've been on the fence about the last Marvel Legends Iron Man figure I need for my collection. I've been sniped on the last two auctions, so I'll probably have to go the Buy It Now route...but they are all just a little more than I want to pay... But I think that's what I am going to have to do.

These answers you have been given are all speculation without actually studying the price of figures. This guy is pretty rare now and fetches hefty amounts. You definitely won't get him cheap anymore unless by dumb luck which does happen on occasion.

The MK IV was one of the rarer figures released in the second Walmart wave and was about $15.99 retail at most stores (pricing varied a little due to regional differences). He was also the most popular of his wave and pretty much got snatched up whenever he would hit the shelves (leaving poor MK V languishing in pegwarmer hell till the Clearance).

Another reason for his rarity and price now is that most of the other figures from the Walmart waves were repackaged and sold as non-exclusives in most retail chains (Walmart, Target, TRU). Except, of course, for the MK IV.

While I think $60 is a tad extreme, I don't think it's an insane price either. It might be the going price now, all things considered (I was lucky and got mine at retail, so I never had to brave the Ebay waters and deal with price sharks). I'd say try for that $34 auction or one like it if you can hold out for a good deal.

You know, one reason the price might be getting driven up as of right now, may be due to the popularity of The Avengers movie. If you can't get one for a good price now, maybe wait a couple months, when everyone's focusing on The Dark Knight Rises, and he may have went down in price. Prices on stuff like that are known to fluctuate if the character has a new movie out.
