The conclusion to Batman R.I.P. is set for release tomorrow! Who else is reading this storyline? I have been confused, but I think Morrison will tie everything up in the conclusion.

I just picked up Batman 681 at lunch, I'll read it when I get home. This storyline actually got me to buy Batman comics again, as I've been out of it for a while. I hope I'm not disappointed!!!

I am looking forward to this one, I've mostly enjoyed it so far. One of the better storylines I've read.

The ending still leaves elements that can be explored further in later comics. It was a good ending, that still leaves questions though the issue itself answered so many of the questions we had during the run. It ties into Morrison's run from last year, anyone remember Thogal? It's in here. There isn't any earth shattering retcon.

After reading this, I realize I need to go back a ways to see what's been going on. It's been interesting reading what all the fanboys have to say over on the DC forums. Oh well, it's another thing on the to do list!!!

I honestly found this story to be more compelling than Hush. I still wonder how everything fits together in this storyline, a lot of tied into Morrison's run with Andy Kubert, and it was hard to predict the ending, whereas with Hush, you can pretty much figure out who he is after the middle of the story. With RIP, I still have questions, which will probably be answered in the next two issues. The storyline got me interested into learning more.

A friend has been keeping me up to date with what's been going on. I pretty much guessed the ending, though I only know the major details and not the little ones.

Be careful with that 'wanting to learn more' concept. With Batman that little thing can soon lead into a downhill slide of trades, back issues, etc.... unless you have more willpower than I did a few years back and just read online.

I'm guessing any loose ends may get tied up in...oh a year or so depending on how much Morrison's spreads it out. He tends to get overly hyped on details that often his storylines get lost.

Wow. The discussion of this is much kinder to Morrison than it is over at TFW. I've already stated my position pretty well over there, so I will just say that I was greatly disappointed by this storyline.

Overall I'm not really a fan of Morrison's work. His older stuff on JLA was ok, but his run on X-Men was awful and his run on Batman has been very confusing. In his defense, I think he has a story in mind, but he has a really hard time putting it down in a coherent way.

Lol, I wasn't sure how the group mindset was for Grant's work over here so I tried to be neutral. I could actually say how I feel Morrison's writing has been but then I'd go off on a rant and it would end up being too long. Not a big Morrison fan, which is weird since I got into DC because he went to Batman in the first place. Guess it was just me hoping he could handle Batman better than X-Men.
