LOL Revoltech horror figures now?

I guess that could work. Any word on if they are doing any others? I could see Freddy, Michael Meyers, and Leatherface working for this line.

I just didn't think these types of characters would work well in the Japanese market for toy collecting...What the hell do I know?

Horror collectibles have been blowing up in Japan over the last few years. Right now, this is the only one revealed. He's running as part of their "Sci-Fi" Revoltech line (along with Batman, and the Kaiju monsters).

Interesting I never knew that. So what horror properties are big in Japan? Or is it mainly their own home grown horror like Ju-on/Ringu/Audition type stuff?

I'll be picking him up for sure. I have the Alien and Jack Skellington and I absolutely love them.

Freddy and Jason are two things I've seen and heard about that have been getting some love over there. Japanese originated horror is still kinda niche over there, as is "real" horror here. By "real" I am discounting pg-13 and studio driven bullshit like Twilight, Resident Evil, etc.

Wait. You are telling me that there is someone out there who considers Twilight horror? Or is it in a new category we are going to start using called "horrific"?

This is typically more than I would spend for a figure, but it looks really good and has so many bits and parts to it I may be able to justify this purchase. Any idea how tall it is? I'm assuming we also get that backdrop from the barn interior there with the figure?

I've bore witness to people calling Twilight the highest grossing horror series of all time. I've asserted the only thing "horror" about the series is that people seem to think it's perfectly acceptable for a 117 year old man to bang a 17 year old minor under the guise of "love".

They also say "If there's grass on the field, play ball", but I don't really buy into either metaphor.

I feel this article sums up Twilight pretty well. An old favorite of mine:

The Oatmeal is easily one of my favorite parody sites. I've read that particular entry multiple times.

Most likely between 5"-6", the 1st year Revoltechs were around 4" or less give or take, and the newer ones are significantly bigger/taller.

I'm a huge Friday 13th fan, but I think I'll pass on this one. My Toy Fair 3.75" version with the glow in the dark mask is enough for me. Plus, I spent so much damned money this month on GI Joe POC and SDCC exclusives, I have to cut back on something.
