The batman will be a definite for me, he will go good anywhere. I was on the fence with the alien but the more I see it the more I like it. Way to go NECA.

Am I the only one considering getting this just for a good comic Batman figure from NECA that can go anywhere? Same with the Superman one.

I hope they give these guys some decent accessories, though. Granted it is intended to be a set based off of a comic, but the Superman and Batman look really good as standalone figures.

Oh those are two packs only? Damn. I want the DC figures, and maybe the Predator, but that Joker Alien is way too silly IMO. Guess I'll pass then.

Any updates on what happened to this set ? The website kept listing it out at the end of July, yet I havent seen any photos or reviews out there.......
did they cancel it ?...... :/

It hasn't been cancelled…yet. They are still trying to get through all the licensing hurdles. I believe Randy said they won't be coming out this year and hopefully they WILL come out.

I am with you for both. I have been looking for a couple good Batman and Superman figures to set up in a Darkseid diorama. I think these guys would go great. I can put the Joker Alien with my Joker collection, he will fit right in there. The Batman and Superman though I think are excellent, I think most figures look too cartoonish but these are just great.

The delay is frustrating though. There isn't much we can do but wait so wait I will. I am in for all of these sets though. The armored Batman is even cool and would go great with the Superman in a battle scene even if the suit isn't as comic accurate.

NECA notified us that due to limitations from their licensor, this item will only be available for sale at conventions. They have cancelled all orders for this item. So this two-pack is going to be a con exclusive? That is a ridiculous, unnecessary move on part of the licensor and NECA. Sad days upon us Aliens/DC fans.

Well, it's not unnecessary for NECA. They were running up against barriers left and right. They already paid for tooling, which makes releasing them anyway they can completely necessary.

Yeah, I think it was Jay C that had mentioned that during his Toyfair coverage that Neca was going to try to get this out as a con exclusive.
Not sure what there is to be upset about though...it seemed clear that this was due to circumstances (red tape dealing with multi-licenses) beyond Neca's control.
Anyway, I'd rather it come out as a con exclusive, where I'd at least have some kind of chance of getting it then to not come out at all.

Don’t they usually put con exclusives up on the web? I think I’ve even seen a couple of the predator con exclusives at TRU and Hastings.
