I came back on the site after a round of other stuff and saw it again and was equally as shocked and happy when I saw it the second time.

That packaging is savage.

Glad to see that even among action figures, the cream still rises to the top.

The packaging on the Hot Wheels is wonderful, but holy hell is that price rough. I had forgotten how exuberant prices on licensed Hot Wheel could get.

The Batman Box looks fantastic.

That is some seriously over the top colour choices. The multicoloured Batman has already given me a craving to run out and buy some gummy bears

I've wanted a Batman set just like that for years…but not from Mattel. Those look terrible. Just cheap plastic and translucent fabric. Yuck.

Batmobile set is awesome, but $25 is crazy for such a small piece. The '89 Batman figure is cool too, looks like he's saying "Shields" into the device.
The Batman figure set looks bad IMO. Not sure why anyone would spend $80 for repaints of mediocre Batman figures. I expected more from them considering this is the last year they'll be able to make this type of stuff.

On the contrary, I don't see them bothering to put much effort into it, now that they don't need to impress anybody and are probably getting ready for whatever restructuring is to come.

Might just have to get that set for the classic Batman. It's the modern build that Mattel JUST figured out and will probably be the last chance to get a Marvel Legends compatible Batman (Who knows what the heck we'll get out of Mcfarlane)Easy enough to dump Rainbow/Zebra/Negative Batman for ebay prices I bet and get that Classic for free... will have to think about this one...

Gizmodo has updated the article stating that these will not be available for non attendees. Preorders will be offered to people attending SDCC so they can pick them up at the con floor. Scroll all the way down to the bottom.

I LOVE that about Mattel! They've made the last few years of getting the con exclusives (for someone that goes to the con) super easy to get. Vs. Con Exclusives that disappear while you're waiting in line to buy them (Hasbro... Neca... Mezco...)

I realize it's a convention exclusive, but paying $25 for a Hot Wheel seems a bit steep.

Those proportions on those Batman figures look so bad and the cheap cloth capes aren't helping. They should have did rubber capes.

Of course, they should have went out with a nice Silver Age Flash set instead of ANOTHER god damn Batman set. I really hope McFarlane actually shows some Flash love.
