I really do love these premium format figures, but I just can't bring myself to spend nearly $700 or more on a statue. They are beautiful, and I guess it's true you "get what you pay for", but does anyone really think it costs them anywhere close to $700 to produce a statue like this? I understand the cost/supplies costs, marketing costs, labor/time costs etc., but seriously how much of this is just profit for them? Is it because these are large 20"+ statues? I just don't get it.
I could barely bring myself to commit to a $400 Hot Toys Thanos and Iron Man, which I finally did. I've been getting more into statues and love the SideShow premium formats and XM, but they are super expensive. |
