Hey. How about that ride in? Guess that's why they call it Toyark... Hehe he...

So... I don't collect many Transformers, I'd kind of like to have a core team of Autobots based on the movie. Right now I have Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime (Voyager) and Hunt for the Decepticons Battle Blade Bumblebee (Deluxe)... So...

The next piece I want to add is a good looking Ironhide in both truck and robot form. One that's in scale with the other two (not the deluxe hunt for the decepticons one, which my brother has). So, I'm open to suggestions.

Try ROTF Voyager Ironhide, and get Leaderclass Optimus Prime, Voyager Prime is too short, and Deluxe Sideswide fits in well also.

I'd like to build up my team a bit more before getting a different Optimus, but maybe later on... Thanks!

If you prefer the more accurate color scheme, i'd say get the movie 1 voyager version (premium or regular) of ironhide. the ROTF voyager version however uses the same body but has a more accurate, better head sculpt and weapons, although it's color scheme is different from the movie and is colored mainly in dark gray. there's another version of ironhide which is the recon/jungle attack ironhide, which uses a remold of his body with lots of added weapons and a more battle ready looking alt-mode. this version is black with lightning stripes all over. all 3 has something to offer. it really depends on your preferences. they're all the same size though and fits in with the other autobots.

Interesting... So which would you say you favor best disregarding color?

Of the three voyager mold versions, my favorite is the Recon version. It uses the better head sculpt, has a better transformation due to the remolded body, and comes with more weapons that can also work with several of the Scout-class toys.

Of course, if you're only looking at on-screen characters, that last point may not matter. But you're missing out on some great toys if you skip the Scout class (plus they're cheap!).

Premium Ironhide from the first Bay flick all the way, I honestly don't think you'll find a more accurate Ironhide in size, coloration or movie likeness than this one!

It depends entirely on how much, if any, painting you're willing to do.

Premium Ironhide from TFTM is the most accurate, paint wise.

ROTF Ironhide has the most accurate head sculpt and weapons, but is molded in grey.

Deluxe HFTD Ironhide is the most accurate sculpt, but smallest.
