Well I sure as hell am! Just worried it might lose steam. I sincerely hope we don't see cases upon cases of the same Cap figures; basically I hope the Iron Man 2 situation is avoided where there is an over abundance of the first few waves and Classic Iron Man. Never seen the drones in person. Took forever to find Hulkbuster. Ditto for wave 3 comic series.

The 1st wave(s) of Cap have some good choices. NEW CAP? HELL YES. WWII CAP? HELL YES. CROSSBONES? HELL YES. REGULAR CAP? ULTIMATES CAP? Yeah...all of these Caps outdo their scrawny out of proportion Marvel Universe predecessors(except WWII Cap since it's a repaint). Yet going forward from that wave, hopefully we see some good variety, like adding in Sharon Carter, Falcon, more villains, et al. Hell a new Nick Fury would kick ass too, being that the MU version used that damn retooled Daredevil body.

I'm excited, but I harbor no illusions that it won't be just like the Iron Man 2 line:

A billion Captain Americas and few other characters. I initially had hope simply because unlike Iron Man, Cap doesn't have nearly as many variant outfits and isn't as "customizable" as far as his gear, but the early shots have shown that Hasbro/Marvel will gladly make up a bunch of oddly-colored Captain Americas to fill the "let's stuff the pegs to bursting with a billion versions of the same character" quota.

On the plus side though, I suspect this will be a smaller line than Iron Man 2. In fact I'm betting Captain America and Thor combined will roughly equal IM2, with Cap taking about 3/4 of that volume, and Thor the last 1/4. Given how little we've seen of the line that's actually coming out sooner, Thor looks to be getting a line that's about as big as XMO: Wolverine at best.

I am! They have Cap Britain as part of the line and I hope they continue the trend, Wolvie as Cap Canada, Captain Lichtenstein FTW! After meeting Evans and Weaving at SDCC I am totally rooting for them to be successful.

I am so excited!!!! The new Winter Solider has been in my dreams since SDCC. I can't even look at my MU Winter Soldier anymore, it disgusts me ha.

I hope it has staying power and all I ask for is that in every wave at least AT LEAST they give us one character that isn't Cap.

Is that so much to ask?

Yes I'm hoping for some more villains!
Cap Canada Wolvie? No thanks! *sigh* Why didn't they just use Guardian?
A Red Guardian would be cool!

It's from:

"The Super Hero Squad Show Season 1 Episode 11 – O Captain, My Captain. When he is tired of all he can take with the Super Hero Squad, Wolverine joins up with the Internation All-Captains Squad (consisting of Captain America, Captain Australia, Captain Brazil, Captain Britain, and Captain Liechtenstein) as Captain Canada where he helps them fight Plantman in the Amazon. Meanwhile, the rest of the Super Hero Squad have an embarrassing encounter at Ringmaster’s circus when Doctor Doom sent Abomination and MODOK to recruit Ringmaster."

I'd love to see comic versions of Baron Helmut Zemo, MODOK, Red Skull and Arnim Zola, I'd buy those in an instant!

YES! Preferably the one that mimics Capt. America with the Star and Shield. It would be so easy to simply reuse the Capt. A mold with a new head.

Good call!

If they make a Red Guardian then you can make a Citizen Steel custom.

Its all about Crossbones for me. If thats an indivator of the direction of the comic line then we're going to be hunting down some good stuff by the second wave.

Can't wait either... I agree with Jmacq1... combined I will expect both Thor and Cap movie/comic lines to be the same size or less in vol then the Iron Man 2 figures... especially based on Iron man can have any amount of repaints, slightly different armoured suits... where as thor and cap will only have a few variants in color but the most its sculpted differently which is awesome for customizers. I'm looking forward to the add on figures, shield agents, crossbones, frost giants, etc there's usually a hand full of rare/hard to find figures like iceman/cyclops in the wolverine origins line or like bullseye in the MU lines.. I hope the ones we want aren't 1 per case or cost you triple online/ebay... I have the same feeling towards the toys as I do the movies... I expect good things from Marvel but there's usually 1-2 let downs ha ha .

I'm super excited as well. Somehow, I feel like ill be more willing to buy any and all of the line. I would love to see some figures similar to the "concept series" we got from the iron man line and I am especially looking forward to seeing what comes out of the comic series.
Any chance we see a Cap-wolf?! ...a boy can dream can't he?

I don't believe so.

As far as I know, it was just from that one episode of Superhero Squad:

"The Super Hero Squad Show Season 1 Episode 11 – O Captain, My Captain. When he is tired of all he can take with the Super Hero Squad, Wolverine joins up with the Internation All-Captains Squad (consisting of Captain America, Captain Australia, Captain Brazil, Captain Britain, and Captain Liechtenstein) as Captain Canada where he helps them fight Plantman in the Amazon. I, for one, am excited for the line but will gladly wait until my wallet moves out of ICU and into a regular room.

I'm pretty positive Logan has never appeared as Captain Canada in anything but that SHS episode (very funny ep, too). Especially when you consider all that the Canadian Government has "done" for (to) him in the 616.

Even in the episode, Logan is forced to wear the costume. Since only Captains are allowed on the All-Captains Squad, Captain America dubbed him Captain Canada and told him that he'd have to wear it or be sent back to the SHS Helicarrier.
