you know I just went and read that issue with the "collar" and let me say this, that is the ONLY way that tool richards will EVER get Doom to pretend he is a slave to him,I find it funny that even the "hero's" have to resort to cheating to win(or so they think)even if it's an "evil" reed its still reed and shows that he only hides his anger for Victor while Doom is not afraid to show it,you just wait, reed will pay dearly for this mistake, all you Doom haters laugh it up while you can, reed is in for a nasty surprise,SO SAYS DOOM!

oh and let us also look at the fact that these story arcs have to be written this way,for some reason they can never let Doom outright win,for good,if and I stress if this were the real world Doom would bury reed richards and quite frankly any of these "hero's" everyone drools over, all these supermen with all there mutated powers or military concocted strengths,Doom learned all of his power from self teaching and endurance,he never needed one single person to help him, hell he ended up becoming the monks master at the monestary in tibet where his armor was forged,he alone built his empire,he alone took latveria, and he alone would take down any "super hero" if these writers could for once dare to think outside the typical goodguy has to prevail and win box,Doom is alone the single biggest threat to the marvel universe, always remember HE ALONE has conqured himself, once you can do that, who can stand in your/his way?

Careful, or I'll have to merge this thread with the Doom Appreciation thread.

Even if Doom were to take out Reed in the real world, Franklin would also be in the real world and Doom would be real dead. Nobody messes with 4 1/2's family.

Depends which era Franklin you're talking about. With full reality warping powers, Doom would be shooting daisies out of every device or tech he tried to use. Plus Doom doesn't harm children.

I gotta second the Ultron for top villian spot. I love me some Doom, but I think of him more as an anti-hero as opposed to a true villian. Ultron on the other hand is cold calculative technology. That's some scary stuff.

you know I have to agree man,as I was reading back on my post I must say that Doom is not the biggest threat to the MU,he is in fact the best written chararcter and the most misunderstood imo,to call him an actuall viallian would be an insult,so I stand corrected.

Ultron, yeah, that's who I said was the best.

And if Snowflakian agrees with me, then that means I win.

Fuck Doom.

Did yo ever read the Triumph and Torment graphic novel?
It's the BEST Doom anything ever- amazing painted Mike Mignola art and Doom and Doctor Strange storm Hell itself to get the soul of Doom's mother!
Doom and Strange vs. Mephisto in Hell- what more do you need to know?

Man...it's amazing- even though a softcover of the book will cost you about $30 used. Totally worth it.

While not as popular, the Mandarin is a bigger villian than Doom- way meaner. (See Iron Man: Haunted)

It was a hardcover graphic novel that was reprinted in softcover format later- I lost my own in Hurricane Andrew to water damage, so I read my roomate's copy.

Amazon has one for $35...but maybe ebay is a better place for a cheap copy.
http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Strange...9847290&sr=8-1

There's one on ebay for $13, but it's got FOUR days left:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...All-Categories

Cntact the seller and offer $20- maybe he'll bite.

You call it cheating, I call it playing the odds.

But seriously, I can see why the Beyonder and Molecule man wouldn't be in the running, so Ultron was my only in game choice.

It is hard to argue against Ultron isn't it...

In one story, Franklin bounced Doom into a pocket dimension just by saying "Bad Man Go Away".

Franklin was also the creator of the Heroes Reborn universe.

I'm not sure about the best villian....probrably Thanos, or maybe Chaos King if i were to just base it off the fact that he did acomplish his goal, though it was threw the means of the heros having to cheat a win (again like above) they had to send him off to another Universe to absorb they couldn't even actauly beat him with a "multiversal" Hercules! i mean come on!
