i saw some pieces on ebay of the baf giantman for £11.99 7 pieces but it got me thinking i would need to buy 3 more min condition figures , :L so is it worth spending £11.99 on these 7 parts or is better to get the whole thing in one? for about £110.00
what would you recomend ?
may thanks

I ran into a similiar situation with my baf Galactus, I had the head for him from getting Professor x, and found an auction online that had the body, left arm and leg, got it shipped for under $25. But when I went to find the missing 2 pieces his right arm and right leg, I was thrown back by pricing. Some sellers/scalpers were wanting nearly $20/piece! and the auctions that came with the figure ie MOC were double that as the 2 pieces I needed came with 2 of the more expensive figures in the wave War Machine and DR Strange.

Before you bid I'd figure out what missing parts you'll need and the figure out which figures they came with. From there you can price the individual missing pieces and what the figures MOC go for. That Giant Man BAF is in the 100-200 range to buy him complete. You maybe get lucky and find the remaining pieces for cheap, or you could spend as much if not mroe buying it bit by bit, added shipping cost and tax plus the time and effort to track down the parts will factor into the buy it all as 1 or piece it together. Lucky for me I found a fellow arker to hook me up with the missing parts, but can't say it'd happen for that figure as a lot of arkers including myself want 1.

The Giant Man BAF is tough. Lots of pieces, variant characters with parts. I'd try for a complete one for under 100. I've been trying to get the DC Bane CNC piece by piece. I bought 2 figs because I wanted them and have been using ebay for the rest. It's crazy, the chest piece I want is selling for more than it would cost me to buy the Mercury fig MOC which I've passed on several times. Most sellers want 14.99 or higher for the part.

Well tell MU to build us a giantman figure and call it a day, the reason we buy baf's is because nobody else is making them. And frankily the ML sentinel is 10x what the MU sentinel is.

Yeah, sadly I'm still suffering a sentinel deficiency. Just could not pull the trigger on the standard version.

BaF Giant Man is too expensive no matter how you look at it IMO.

I say wait for Hasbro to produce one. With the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon and Avengers movie on the horizon it is only a matter of time.

I wish I could agree. And hell if it was two days ago I would. But I just picked one up and love him. A million times better than the MU version.

You should get it if you need the remaining 3 figures. It would just make sense depending on what they go for. I bought a CnC missing the head and torso for $40, and the remaining figure was going for $50 MOC which would seem expensive, but the whole completed CnC went for over $140 via auction so I said why the hell not? I get one figure I needed anyway and 2 mint condition parts (head and torso).

thanks all for contributing to the forum , for the person who said make a giantman from hasbro yes that would be awsome ! but there might be a slim chance it will be a baf unless it will be in the ml line . even if they make one it wouldnt be good as the ML line version , but i dunno depends on what they look like and how good articulation is. plus if its a sdcc exculisve or something its going to get harder for me to get cause i live in the UK. it was just okay to get the hasbro ironman mark vi and warmachine on ebay which was a guy who had stuff imported from america. Plus i think figures are starting and slowly dieing out in the UK. i.e i saw the thor movie figures mu size and then next week i went there they had moved on to something else.

I agree, I mean look how much it took toybiz to put all the characters in ML so I'll wait for a Giant man, I mean It's almost a guarantee that we'll see something next year with the whole movie fuss

Man I picked up a sealed MU giant man (red) at a local toy show for 5 bucks. The guy had no idea what he had. It's not ML Giant Man no, but this has to be the best score of my toy buying life.

It's been my experience whenever you try to piecemeal any set or figure together, you end up spending more in the long run than if you bought it complete from the get-go. If yo've got the funds, I'd say just spring for it complete unless you're able to locate all of the pieces at the same time.
