It's about time they put out some really good cartoons for kids and adults alike this past 2-3 years, than they did say 5 years ago.
The Marvel Cartoon line up with some DC as well, Legend of Korra and Transformers Prime! What do you Arker's think? |

I really liked the 1st season of the Avengers cartoon, but I would have never been able to watch it if it had not been on Netflix. That said, I'm not sure what else is out there and can't really say for sure if they're good. Any suggestions?

(Will not be including Anime. That gets way too complicated)
Young Justice, Green Lantern, Avengers: EMH, Clone Wars, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Ben 10, Generator Rex, and Iron Man: Armored Adventures I think are the best cartoons on air currently. Looking forward to adding Avatar: Legend of Korra, the new TMNT series, and Ultimate Spiderman to that list. I would add Voltron Force to that list, but I know it doesn't appeal to everyone. In the past: Gargoyles, Spectacular Spiderman, Wolverine and the X-Men, X-Men Evolution, Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Transformers Animated, Exo*Squad... Would add Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Ducktales, and Rescue Rangers to that list, but I can understand where they wouldn't be as appealing to adults as well as kids. And I think the best series of all time, Avatar: The Last Airbender

I can vouche for Young Justice and Avengers EMH. Even my sister likes it and she's got the attention span of a gnat even though she's actually more than 10 years older than I am.

I forgot the new Thundercats! I *knew* I was forgetting something important!
I can't stand the original Thundercats, but the new series is epic!

I will say that I'm impressed with the number of modern 'toons I like these days. Some of my favorites currently include: Transformers Prime, Thundercats, Phineas & Ferb, Avengers:EMH, Ben 10, Generator Rex, Young Justice and recently, Green Lantern.
And while I agree that MLP:FIM is a well-done show, ponies aren't my thing. Neither is Adventure Time, but that's for an entirely different reason (for one, the dog-thing looks too much like a deformed orange Dogbert). I could also go on and on about the great cartoons (IMHO) that have come out over the years, but most have already been mentioned here and I'm sure most wouldn't want to see another list thread. Instead, I'd like to point out that the writing for children's programming in general has seemed to improve considerably over the years. Sometimes it seems that these cartoons are better-written and more creative than some live-action shows (or even certain movies).

I disagree. I think they should put out crappy cartoons that don't appeal to anyone.
