Maybe something similar to this could work?

as have I and from this site I see many others as well. sucks that so much money is given to a company and it cant even leave the package unharmed. is taking it back to the store a possibility cause if it is id just do that or call the company you ordered from. yea they might be bitches but I have learned persistannce will beat a phone operator 99% of the time.

Ugh...good luck trying to get NECA's customer service to help you with this one, as their policy is pretty much, "Got a problem? Piss off and take it back to where you got it." Your best bet is to see if you can get your money back on this one.

Best of luck to you. I really wanted that figure myself at one time, but in hindsight, I am glad I passed on it.

In America the dollar is valued above all other things, even quality. I'm a NECA loyalist and it's apparent that they take their business seriously, but you have to remember a company is formed to make a profit. This movie color Batman is having a ton of QC issues I've been reading about and I think I might have a possible explanation. DC is very strict about who gets to make toys of their licenses in the 6-7" scale because Mattel locked themselves in to do that stuff, it was only through a loophole that NECA got to make this figure in movie colors in the 7" scale. It's possible that since it was such a hard deal to pull off and probably not something they'd been planning for up to a year like their normal toy releases, that they had to make all of these blu-ray figures in a quick amount of time. NECA's QC is already hit or miss so applied with my theory of how quickly they had to spit these out, and whoever they have for quality control is going to miss a lot more issues than they already do.

All toy companies have QC problems, some are just better than others at getting it fixed. Unfortunately NECA either doesn't find it necessary to upgrade their QC or maybe they can't afford to do it without cutting back on some other area. NECA, DCC, and Funko do some great stuff and I love getting their figures, but they could all do with some better QC.

That sucks. If NECA doesn't step up you may just have to use super glue and lose his knee articulation.

A buddy of time who is a devoted collector of NECA's Predator figures has begun referring to NECA figures as "pre-assembled model kits" since he has had to break out the superglue and perform extensive repairs on so many of his NECA figures.

I completely sympathize with your ordeal.
If you got it from a larger retailer, like TRU, I can't imagine that they would deny you an exchange for another. I've never had the larger stores, like Target, TRU, and Wal-Mart, refuse an exchange or return for a recently purchased figure that broke right out of the package.
Smaller, independently owned store, like comic shops are a different story though, since they don't turn the same sort of profits as the larger retailers.

That's one issue, this was the only one that TRU had, first and only time I've seen it

I do hate the Qc issues lately with figures, I shouldn't be scared to pose my figures or actually use the articulation in them...

Pretty easy fix actually, but you'll need to find a swivel/hinge disc similar in size to the one that broke. If you do, use an x-acto, cut the disc out of the knee (only cut on ONE SIDE), boil the knee to soften the plastic, slip the broken disc out (you'll see the little plastic knub inside still attached on one side in the knee), slide the new disc on, dab a touch of super glue onto the little center knub, and pinch the knee around the disc while at the same swiveling the new disc back and forth so that it doesn't get glued in place. The center knub thing will glue back onto the side you cut it from, and the disc will still swivel and maintain it's articulation.
To get the snapped off piece out of it's socket, just boil it for a while, then use a small screwdriver to pry and pull it out.
Simple fix, and a good one to remember since this probably won't be the last time you experience it. Of course, you can always try going through "customer service", but good luck with that route depending on the company and if they even have any more units on hand to send you.
