You mean other than being based specifically on iconic promotional material for the original film?

I've seen a bunch of comments from people who don't seem to be familiar with the pose at all surprisingly. I always assumed it was a test shot of the suit that they ended up using since there weren't a lot of clear shots of the alien in the film so you'd see the image in things like Starlog magazine.
I love the callback when action figure manufacturers put him in the pose for their promotional images but I don't think I'd want a high end statue in that pose. A cheaper and smaller Koto statue would be cool tho.

Koto did do the Big Chap Alien as an ARTFX Statue back in 2016, but not in this pose.

total fail. the pose is everything for a statue collector. for that super expensive price you gonna want a good pose.
