I am looking into making a custom MU Bishop. I have a Cable body that I thought of using but need a different left arm. I would need to probably swap out both arms though for unity. What figure would have good arms that would fit with Cable's size? Would Luke Cage's arms be to small looking?

not sure if cages arms would be too small but i would say for cables height try captain Britain. they are both taller molds and should match up nice.

Or maybe the new Steve Rogers. Even has gloves if you want you're Bishop with them. Same body so for sure they'll fit.

How weird would it look if you moved a 2nd right arm over and just spun it around?

Maybe that would be an option.

What about Luke Cage? you wouldn't even have to repaint them as they're already brown! Absorbing man would be my next suggestion.

What era Bishop you going for? Because at some point he did get a cybernetic arm like cable's. You could always go for that version, but that's after he turned traitor himself trying to kill Hope.

I reccently used the arms from Night Adder in the GI Joe movie line. They're a little bigger than the Doc Sampson/Gladiator/Captain Brit buck but smaller than Venom. I tried to use Venom.....a little too freakish

man i'd been really HOPEful that hasbro woulda made that version. maybe a bishop and stryfe comic pack. god i would love that.

but yeah had thought about making that bishop by swapping and resculpting cable's arms.

Yeah, I just noticed by checking some pics the arm is the opposite as cable's. I agree though, I hope they do a comic pack of it, or of him and apocalypse, but those comics might be too violent for a CP. If not, I hope they do a CP of unmasked X-23 and vampire Jubilee with that issue of her ongoing too.

Bishop's future hops have too much genocide, and X-23's comic has self-mutilation. So both sadly are probably no go's for CPs.

Just get an extra Cyclops- those are fairly common here and will be available in the revision cases too.
Same body as cable's but no cyborg arm....plus you'd have all cyclops' pouches and that big "X" that any decent Bishop costume would have!

I'd suggest a ROC Heavy Duty head as a base and make dreads from thinly braided string- use the string that holds the grapple hook from a ROC Ripcord (paint the string black, obviously).
I really think this would look great.

Good luck- just remember, We're all counting on you.

I think the Cyclops body is smaller. I have a Bishop head already from SDS.

Wow. You're right- I just got home and compared the two and Cable is huge!
Huh.
We have not seen any other fig with that buck, have we?
Maybe they're saving it for Beta Ray Bill (legs only- horsey shoud be even bigger).

I'm not sure what to do. Cable has some big arms compared to what I've seen. I think Cage will be smaller as well.

Heavy duty may be your best bet, although I am sure there are some mu figs that would be suitable. Some have quite big arms.

Slayer design studios do a very good bishop head if you get stuck to find something suitable.

Keep us updated on how this is going!

What look are you going for?

Modern?

Or classic?

I'll always dig the classic look, but I'd vote for a modern. And if you haven't read Duane Swierczynski's Cable run, shame on you!

If I were doing it I'd go for classic. 90s X-Men costumes ftw.

I like modern but the head I have is a classic version. I may go with something similar o the classic look.

I may have found arms. I had a 4" DC Hawkman that may work. The arms seem just about right. They are only missing wrist and tricep articulation but should work.

comparrison of the cable body (left) I used the night adder arms on with the big buck used by Cyclops etc. (right) In the middle is the Venom arm I was planning to use originally. Just a little to big.
