Black Friday

Did anyone here participate? Buy anything?

Well...I decided to brave Wal-Mart this year. What a chaotic mess that was. I got there about 9 PM. Get to the parking lot and it's just packed. I make my way inside and see that the aisles are just a complete war zone. So many people just standing around the displayed items they wanted from the BF ads. As soon as 10 PM rolls around it was a savage free for all. Thankfully I was up close to the display and got what I wanted. Quickly backed off to watch the masses tear up the place.

I was able to snag what I was looking for though, Yakuza 4 & Batman Arkham City. Yakuza was for me and the Batman was a buddy's xmas gift.

i wasnt able to go cause im workin (not saying i wanted to go. i dont like ppl so close to me...its a long story) but this leads me to a question i was thinking about. would it be a good idea to hit the stores u normally hit after a black friday sale has taken place hrs before?

Sometimes you might find items that weren't picked clean. It's always worth a shot to check out. Never know what you'll find right?! I'll probably drop by that same Wally I was at on my way to work just to see the after math.

yea me too lol...i get off in the AM and im going to hit my normal 3 stores on the way home. if i dont find anything then it should be a gud laugh to see stuff all messed up

Just check youtube for videos if you really want to see what took place on this date in time. Even look around the net for there should be news stories such as the woman who maced some people in Walmart.

i was tryin 2 pick up orko and king grayskull but it didnt go thru. plus i just heard on the radio that a walmart in AZ had to clear everyone out cause they had a bomb scare

I hit up WM and Macy's. WM was bad... People screaming and grabbing things before they were supposed to. There was hardly anyone at Macy's. I drove by Target and the line outside was huge.

Yeah...the worst comes out of people this time of year. I'm just building up EXP so I know what to expect from future scenarios. Otherwise gonna hit up my comic shop in awhile for some cheap BF deals.

I'm one of those crazy people who truly enjoy "Black Friday" and I live in a pretty small city, so even when its "crazy" (as it was last night) its still not too CRAZY.

So I got to head out at 10:20 last night and arrived at Wal-Mart and..well..I gotta be honest...I didn't even think that many people lived in Bozeman. lol

But below in the pics is most of my "haul", got the graphic novel from hastings, the Superman and GL movies as well Gears 3 and Modern Warfare 3 from Wally World.

And then at Target, I got seasons 5 & 6 of Supernatural for 12 each as well as Skyrim here for $42. Hells yeah.

Yeah, me too. Their site wasn't working properly again (shocking news).. some figures sold out quickly, but their sold out status wasn't showing, so when you'd add to cart they just wouldn't show up there, but were listed as being in stock. I was trying to get the original Teela and Orko too.

I went to walmart and got Steamhammer with Sledge, & Grimstone with Skyhammer for 10 apiece and it took 45 minutes. I had to park about a half a mile away and walk almost getting hit a couple of times, then had to manuever through the crowds only to have to fight with the 4 high cart thing they had transformers on and see they had a billion grimstones and then wait in line. well i looked at my watch and when i saw it was 1045 i knew i had been there too long so i decided to see if they would ring me out in pharmacy where they were selling the blue wii's and they took me. if they hadn't i would have just left as I had to go home and get sleep to be back at work @ 4am the next day. I felt bad too cus the wife had gotten home 20 minutes prior to my coming back home but she was too cool and asked what I got and was all excited. very surreal and not something I will try again anytime soon

Picked up some Blurays, games, PCC Heavytread, Rubbermaid bowl sets, yadda yadda. Was pretty tame compared to other years.
