Just a guess but since wave 2 just came in stock at BBTS and they haven't really hit Brick and Mortar, I'm figuring January/February '14.

Han shot in whatever order Lucas says he did. It is Lucas' baby, he gets to call all of the shots and everyone just has to accept them.

Lucas doesn't even know what he wants with regard to that. He wants his cake and to eat it too.

I'll stick with Harmy's Despecialized edition and Adywans Star Wars Revisted. I can get the true, original intent of the scene/character with those.

6" Han will shoot 6" Greedo first in my house.

That's cool. I'll stick with the BDs that are actually remastered and in 1080P unlike those fan-made upscaled to 720P ones.

Don't get me wrong. If they ever release the original versions on BD, I'll buy them, but the changes do nothing to effect the story telling. I don't agree with every change (such as Vader now screaming no), but again, they have no barring on the stories of the movies themselves.

I too am really disappointed about the lack of accessories with Kenobi. I was hoping that like Maul, perhaps we'd get an extra padawan head, or at least his robes. My ultimate wish would have been for an Episode 1 head (even if the togs are different, it would be close enough for my tastes), his Episode 3 head, and a robed Episode 4 head like Mauls.

Unfortunately, that's also in the same wish bin as Episode 5 Luke in Bespin togs that has a removable wrist/hand for a med sleeve, and a box of slim jims for Yoda to snap into.

Oh, and '85 VHS release for the win. Special Edition and Blu-Noooo can kiss it.

If you want to watch a piece of shit that looks like someone pooped on your tv screen, more power to you.

Yes it does. It is Lucas' right to do whatever he wants to to his movies. If he wants to give everyone swirly mustaches, that is his right. What I do agree with is that all versions should be available to buy in HD (originals, 97 versions, 2003 versions, and 2011 versions).

You said "everyone has to accept them" just because Lucas says so. We have to do no such thing. That's not how it works, despite what the dwindling amount of Lucas zealots left want to believe.

As Nighttrain pointed out, we do not have to accept his changes. Star Wars is just like any other movie with Theatrical and Director's Cut versions in existence - the fans are able to pick which version they like better.

To be perfectly honest, the viewing quality of each of the films is meaningless to me. I grew up with these films, and I have seen them using multiple kinds of technology through the years. I have literally seen all three films at least 100 times each (and probably twice that for ESB). I don't care how good the quality is anymore - I just want to enjoy the same films I've loved since I was a kid.

But hey, if that's your thing then good for you. It's just not mine.

Not any more it isn't.

Sorry, my irony failed. However, I did want to say thank you. If it wasn't for you and Beam starting the topic (slightly off thread), I wouldn't have found, watched and thoroughly enjoyed the Despecialized Edition this week.

They are enjoyable. I have horrible eyesight so the pull of nostalgia is greater than viewing it in 1080p. I'll always choose the upscaled resolution of the OOT over Blu Ray quality. And I own the BR box set.

just remember you can download the original pre special edition trilogy online. But, Itd be awesome if they put the original version on blu ray and cleaned up a little bit, and MAYBE pepper in the deleted scenes, like tow versions on one disc sort of thing.

Looks like we are getting a Han repack instead of 2 Stormtroopers.

2014 STAR WARS BLACK 6" FIGURE SERIES 01 - CASE, SINGLES
The new Assortment includes Episode V Bespin Luke, an Episode IV Stormtrooper, Episode III Obi-Wan Kenobi and Episode IV Han Solo. They are available as a Case of 4 at $79.99, or singly at $19.99 - $29.99 each.

Well that sucks for army builders, but it's good news for me. I might have a better shot at getting Han the second time around. The bitch for me is making sure I can get Bespin Luke.

EDIT: Although BBTS does have ANH Han on clearance (and preorder?) for $9.99. Decisions, decisions.
