Looks pretty close to me. It's matching her body type that's off which is par the course for ML legends.

Not that I’m a fan of this character, but where are her giant hands?

They changed her powers so her hands can't enlarge anymore.

Her powers are more like a power ring, than her comic counterpart...

Well that's dumb. Why bother doing the character in the first place if you're just gonna change what she's most well known for?

There's shots of her having giant hands in the trailer. Not sure why they gave her more powers.

She does the giant hands via some energy thingy now. Which to me looks a lot cooler than just giant swollen fleshy hands. lol

Her powers aren't supposed to look cool though. It undermines her message of being proud of yourself even if you're "weird." They're a puberty metaphor that can also do zany comedy.

^I'm not invested in the character, but that is an excellent point. However, I don't believe the average MCU and TV serial fan is necessarily looking for thoughtful allegories that broaden human perspective. Most just want action and special effects. Your sensibilities are those of someone that reads and most people don't do that anymore.

I'm sure it's because Marvel is gearing up for the big return of the Fantastic Four, and they don't want Ms. Marvel to look like a Mr. Fantastic knock-off.

Aye, fair enough. But as said above there's probably reasons and Mr Fantastic getting a bit of attention recently might be one of them, aye. Though I still find it odd how the world's supposedly smartest man ended up getting all his mates killed. lol

They couldn't even give her an unmasked extra head?

Kind of tired of it looking like Hasbro is cutting corners with accessories. No unmasked head, no energy power effects. As if the torso of Ultron is supposed to be the accessory.

None of the previous releases of Ms. Marvel in the line have had an unmasked head and the domino mask doesn't cover that much.

I agree about the effect pieces, particularly since her power is more sparkly in the MCU but I don't think an unmasked face is necessary for this character.

Here powers in the comics have never been super flashy and she struggled with having it in general. But not looking cool isn't one of them. She's still a marvel comics superhero. She has cool looking powers.

Just feels odd because other like Riri and Spider-Gwen have them, so any display of the young superhero ladies I have is going to have everyone unmasked...except Kamala.

Hasbro has been cutting those corners for a long time now, I think every wave has at least one figure who comes with nothing but a BAF piece and some hands if you're lucky.

And reduced articulation too. Its most noticeable in mcu and tv figs but has been creeping into non live action marvel figs too.

Hi Harbinger,
What do you mean by reduced articulation? I agree that her single joint elbows are disappointing, but that has been the "normal articulation" with double-hinged elbows and the butterfly joints being rare (for ML women, but more common for Black Series Star Wars women).

For people with questions about her power set... Youtube host BeyondTheTrailer (a former comic book writer for Marvel/DC) says Ms Marvel's powers are a lot like... Green Lantern's... she inherited the family Djinn (Genie) and can project its power... BeyondTheTrailer also said the first two episodes (at least) closely mirror Pixar's "Turning Red" (geeky daughter-of-immigrants inherits mother's ancestral secret, has a supportive father, and an obedience demanding mother.

I enjoy Ms Marvel / Kamala Khan's adventures and like how the action figure looks. I'm excited! But yeah, will be disappointed if the series "feels" like a "Turning Red" homage... the host commented that Disney has a "inclusivity team" that would've advised both projects... suggesting that the TV series may be a deliberate adherence to formula... sigh, welcome to the Multimillion-dollar Franchise.

I hear you--but I remember the days of DC Universe Classics when alternate hands were unheard of. An alternate head-sculpt would've been released as a "chase variant".

I don't want to say "give Hasbro a break" (multi-million dollar company), but the times on the whole are better than they used to be.
