I dig it, and I get the need for repaints to maximize profits per figure, but dropping the one extra piece as a separate fig is boo. Colors are a tad different it looks like, but not significant. From a non profit perspective that could have just been packed in the original easy.

I think most people that collect this line are keeping them all MIB, so I bet they are happy that it is a separate fig instead of the other fig having more accessories they will never get to use.

When is this company gonna stop being dicks and actually just include an extra head in their normal releases? That's standard practice for Hasbro yet Toddy boy thinks he's special.

Whenever the question is "when is this company going to stop...", the answer will 100% always be "when people stop buying them".

Exactly. These keep selling out from all the McFarlane fanboys so they'll keep doing it.

It's also standard practice for Hasbro to use the same sculpted parts on 25-50 (at least) figures. Every one of McF's figures is a unique sculpt, which is pretty special, in my opinion.

Yeah, unique sculpts at usually a $20 price point so they get a pass for doing multiple releases of the same figure with different parts.

Their Star Wars figures are generally mostly unique sculpts, though. Same with the Joes.

There is no reason why for $24.99-$29.99 they can't include an extra head. It's an easily removable part o these figures as it is.

Yeah they do have mostly unique sculpts, and then Hasbro doesn't regularly include alternate heads with figures in either of those lines so it's looking less strange for McFarlane to do the same.

I don't get the commotion for this release since Diana only wears the helmet for all of 2 or 3 short panels on one page before she takes it off and never wears it again.

Star Wars: They have released how many different troopers in the last 12-18 months? All shared parts. Easy to recoup a ton of tooling costs across the entire line that way.

G.I. Joe: There have been a lot of shared parts already. Also, they have pulled the repaint game a few times, too. And…let's not forget that they have released only about a dozen different characters so far. (Which, by itself, is a goddamn joke and an entirely different rant.) Once they have released about 20 characters, you'll see those same parts over and over and over again.

Eh the helmet barely appears in the story it's in, so I'm actually content with the regular head.

McFarlane's DC Multiverse figures are growing on me, but this is getting slightly ridiculous. This doesn't even count as a variant in my opinion. The helmet should simply have come as an accessory or an alternative head. Nobody forces you to buy it of course, but I cannot respect cheap tricks such as these. Even Hasbro wouldn't sink this low.
