A very old British series is returning to the tele as a remake. And with it… Toys.

Thunderbirds; an immensely popular tv series in the mid 60s (20+ years before I was born even) is returning with a unique animation style involving CGI and Live Action Sets.

This month’s cover of Toy News Magazine UK is highlighting the upcoming toyline for the franchise and an article states that the toyline wishes to become a massive hit just like the toyline of the 60s.

Pretty cool, I guess. Though it's not anything I would personally cover here. I was never into the show at all.

Wow. I had some pretty fun times watching the syndicated re-runs of this show as a child. If the remake can capture even some of the successful elements of this show, and its 80's "remake" Terrahawks (so funny and terrible all at once), then I might have to make the new version mandatory viewing.

The reason that I have never seen Team America (still not very inclined to do so) has much to do with the fact that I had already exhausted much of the unintentional laughter this genre provided many years prior to the film's arrival.....

Edit: I have seen some episodes of Stingray also, but no where near as many as Thunderbirds and Terrahawks...
