All of those 'looking like another robots' resemblances are because THE SAME MECHA DESIGNER DREW THE CONCEPT ART. Gravion is seemingly a homage to many Brave themes but also super robot themes. But that DOES NOT mean it should AUTOMATICALLY be called a Brave. Layzer has a bigger chance of being acknowledge as a Brave than Gravion.

Well, it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Personally, I'd have to agree with Roan that the similarities are because they were all designed by the same artist and/or an homage to previous designs.

Guy doesn't pilot anything! He merges with Galeon and they become one being (Gaigar). Then extra parts (GaoMachines) are added on like armor pieces to form Gaogaigar.

Um, it's basically the same. The only real difference is Galeon was switched for Phantom Gao and the GaoMachines were updated. Guy still merges with them so they become an extension of himself.

I know you're on my side of the argument but I had to correct you on this point. Lian is only the sword that Fire Dagwon, power Dagwon and Super Fire Dagwon uses. Dag Fire is the 'core component' that becomes Fire Dagwon. But much like Gaogaigar En actually BECOMES the robot. He does pilot it.

Oops, yeah you're right. I got the names confused. My knowledge of Dagwon is not as great as Gaogaigar, either, so the details tend to blend in my head sometimes. And don't all the kids in Dagwon merge with their vehicles to form the robot, rather than piloting them?

The first link you link to is from a fan made Brave series called Drag Kaiser.

Baan Gaan doesnt take place after Gaogaigar final. It takes place before and during Gaogaigar (according to the games). If it was an anime, it would not have anything to do with Gaogaigar at all.

Drag Kaiser's plot is anyone's guess. Its a fan made Brave. And has girls as partners of the Braves. Thats all I know.

Baan Gaan is a energy life form from Astaria. He came to Earth to fight Grandark. Vars is a popular game amongst children which involves small toys that battle each other. During a competition the Vars building is attacked and Shunpei's friend Hiro goes missing while he and his other friend is left. Baan arrives and tries to convince him to help by showing his courage. Reluctant at first but when he sees his friend in danger he plucks up his courage aand says 'Brave Charge' which allows Baan to assume a giant robot form. And the story continues from there.

There is no 'Brave Universe'. Each series is its own universe (mostly) with non of the events being acknowledge by other series' characters. But you'll be happy to know that they already kind of are in the games. Raijinoh appears in both Brave Saga Astaria for the GBC and Shin Seiki Yuusha Taisen (New Age Brave Wars) for the Ps2.

SHE Simple Change Great Might Gaine Perfect Mode is ok. But its hard to get (and expensive). Where will you get it?

the bigger challenge is j-roader & fire roader & they are a few reasons for me choosing cybertron optimus prime for j-roader:
transformation wise look at his arm transformation
homage wise cybertron optimus prime is based on star convoy which is based on j-decker(and if you don't believe me try putting fire j-decker's chest plate on star convoy)

No. Star Convoy is NOT based on J-Decker (firstly Star Convoy came first). Its just Duke Fire was most probably based on the unused concept for a combining partner with Star Convoy (called New Rodimus) which is why the parts fit.

Always liked Goldy in the show, even if his design was a robot walking around with a big hammer strapped to his back. The character was a lot of fun on the show.

I still say the tank mode was an afterthought, even if it did appear in the show.

Dude, if you want to make a custom or kitbash a toy, no one is stopping you. Just make sure that you give proper credit for your inspiration, especially if the kitbash is based on fan-made stuff and even if the inspiration is blatantly obvious.

i mean look at the combination pattern of the 3 of them
& look they are all formed by the same 3 basic units:
a Ariel unit that forms most of the upper body or the main part of it(earth fighter,ho-oh & mach ptera)
a ground unit that forms the crotch or most of the upper body(da garn, ken-oh & land stego)
a second ground unit that forms the legs & is usually bigger then the first ground unit(earth liner, juu-oh & thunder bracio )

Yes. Coincidence. And more or else Dagarn X is made from two units while Dagarn himself forms the control centre. Very different to the Eldorans. If what you're saying is true... Daltanius also shares a similar design sketch.
