Hi all,

I'm not really a collector, but live my collecting life through my children, as I'm sure a lot of people do.

My son is 4 years old, coming up on 5, and is quite a rough kid. I've purchased him quite a lot of the 12" Titan Hero Series Marvel figurines. He's a fanatic for them. They beat the hell out of each other.

The downside is that he enjoys trying to play with them inside houses/boxes or his little cities for cars, etc. That doesn't work too well as they're 12" tall and quite solid.

My question is:

If I was looking for a BROAD range (meaning where I could get the figurines from at least every MCU 'movie' released, even potentially even broader than the movies) in something of a 6" or smaller size, of the Marvel figurines, what SET would I be looking at?

Eg: I don't want to go with the Marvel Legends series. They're too breakable and too expensive. Something 4" in size would be perfect but I'm not seeing a specific range anywhere and was hoping for some assistance.

PS: I'm VERY OCD, so whatever set I go for I'll want to be the same right across the board. No mixing of sets.

Thank you in advance.

The 6in kids line is probably a good bet for a kid that is going to actually be playing with them. the MCU (and the DC movies in the similar Mattel line) is pretty well represented. the figures average about $10ea. and are slightly smaller than the Legends/Multiverse 6in scale.

Thank you for answering.

Would you happen to have a link or a particular name for this series? He's going to want all of them so I'm hoping there's 40-50 odd in the series over time. I'm happy to find older ones on eBay if I can still locate them. Thank you.

I don't know what they call them officially- it's just generally called the kid's line- here's a link to StarLord at Walmart- you can find these easy there or target

Thanks. Trying to post a reply to you but it's waiting on mod approval for some reason.

I have seen those. They just came out in Australia (the ones with the Infinity stones). They're actually extremely good quality for their price. The problem is that I can only find them as a set from Infinity War, so there's maybe 12 in total. I cannot seem to locate any others from previous movies/comics (such as War Machine, Ultron, Sandman, Vulture, even any of the Black Order, etc).

The range he has now is the 12" Titan Hero Series range, which seems to have about 90% of the characters.

I'm after something similar in the 6" range, or even 4" range. Is the only option the actual LEGENDS series? (which are expensive and probably a bit fragile for his age).

Sorry to pester, I'm just having trouble finding the right goods.

Thank you.

Those lines seem to come and go quite quickly on the shelves. For kids, that might be the best line, even if somewhat hard to come by. Hasbro might have some on their website. Otherwise, you could check eBay or local comic and toy shows, if there are any in your area. Maybe even the occasional yard sale.
It is a shame those titan heroes aren't as sturdy. I had a few for my niece and nephews to play with when they come over, but they are pretty beat up too.

I'm definitely happy with the 6" range they have out at the moment, it's just that they're based on Infinity War. I can only locate the following heroes:

Hulkbuster
Black Widow
Thor
Captain America
Iron Man
Hulk
Starlord
Drax
Rocket Racoon & Groot Pack
Dr Strange
Scarlet Witch
Gamora
Iron Spider
War Machine
Iron Man & Thanos Pack

PS: There's more above in the new set than I thought.
However, that leaves me chasing old characters, some that are in Infinity War MCU:

Black Panther
Vision
Cull Obsidian
Proxima Midnight
Ebony Maw
Corvus Glaive
Red Skull
Winter Soldier
Mantis
Falcon
Loki
Nebula

(some of the above may be available, just going by what I can find online)

Then others from older MCU, such as:

Ultron
Erik Killmonger
Odin
Ant-Man
Wasp
Hela
Ronin
Yondu
Heimdall
Hawkeye

The TITAN HERO SERIES range over time came out with most heroes, including those from the Spider-Man series, which was awesome. I'm slowly getting them. The issue is still that they're 12" in height. They're sturdy, no issues there. He smashes them. It's more about having ones to play with inside objects, houses, etc.

The LEGENDS series is the only one I can find that seems to have 90% of the heroes.

Are these three series all there are available for what I'm after?

Thank you again.

I just came in to see who uses the word "figurines." Sounds like something grammy would say--"run along and play with your figurines." Get over your ocd and just mix and match though. They're not for you.

Other option is Hero Mashers. You could also go for 2.5" Playskool figures.

Course they're for me. I can't afford to buy two sets so I live my collection through my son. Plus I'd never open the box if I collected for myself so that's pointless.

He does have some DC versions of the 2.5" Playskool figures. I'll keep an eye out for the Marvel versions. That may be a good option if I can find a broad enough range.

The Hero Mashers look alright as well. Not sure on how broad the range is and I'm a bit worried about him losing pieces, which he does with similar toys of other types.

Appreciate the help.

Honestly I think your best bet is the 6" basic/kiddie line for general play value, character selection, and cost effectiveness.

The Legends/Infinite/Universe/whatever 3/75" line is also pretty expansive and has good character selection between both movie and comic versions. I think they only made up through Civil War as far as movie figures go though, and getting the comic version of someone like Thanos is probably more than you wanna spend on a toy your kid is gonna roughhouse with, but generally they are good quality at usually under $10 a piece.
