I've found two Blastoise figures that appear to be in scale for my Nintendo collection. They both look really well made.

D-Arts Blastoise:

Great articulation and water blast FX pieces from what I've seen, but the price range on the after market is out of my league (the cheapest I could find was for at least $89 CAD).

Wicked Cool Toys Battle Feature Blastoise:

Looks nice and sturdy and it's affordable, but the articulation looks more limited.

Which one should I get, and why?

For my Nintendo collection, a balance of affordability and durability will beat articulation every time. Articulation is necessary for some figures, of course- a 5 POA GI Joe wouldn't end up on my shelves. Nintendo? Sure. While there are definitely higher end options, my Mario collection is exclusively the larger WoN. They're "posable enough". I'd almost argue that the cartoonish nature of Nintendo figures works better with fewer joints to break up the flow.

Also, while I have zero experience with D-arts, I always wonder about the durability. A million poa are useless if you're afraid it'd break posing it.

I'm not afraid of it breaking from posing it, just thought it'd be overall a higher quality figure based on images of it in different poses and with the water FX.
