We are good out here. Storm weakened to a tropical storm by the time it made its way to NY and wasnt as bad as the media hyped it up to be.
Only problem is our power still being out. Hopefully its not out for more than another day but I wouldnt be surprised if its an entire week.

Man, living in Miami I am so used to that. The media loves the dramatize these storms, sending everyone running out to Home Depot and Loews. But then again, you never know. Glad you're ok.

Tropical storm I believe is by Louisana and heading to Texas. A hurricane is brewing and heading towards the east coast again.

Yep Ludo, media always sensationalizes every story to make some cash and get headlines. I used to live in Florida as well and every week during hurricane season it seemed like there was a thread. In 5 years only got hit once with a hurricane but there were 5 million bazillion news stories before and after that about pending hurricanes.

And it's not just the coastal cities either. I see nightly reports on Irene and all the other storms every year, yet I live in a land-locked state.

Even still, I hope everyone remains safe.
