What state are you in, Cain? Just trying to get an idea of how far these have been distributed so far.

Does anybody have pics of these things yet?

I'm sure you could snap some of your new WWII Cap, Treble.

On a side note, I hope my TRU breaks street date like they sorta did with the Green Lantern stuff.

Never got the SDCC figure, so my comments are based my first impressions of the toy.

Here's the only one I was able to take so far (very busy weekend). I took this one almost as soon as I got him. I'll see if I can add more later today with him out of the packaging.

I'd probably pick up that WW2 cap since I didnt get the SDCC version. The guns look pretty cheap. I hope these hit NY soon.
That parachute has to be one of the coolest accessories for Cap.

Thanks, Treble! I actually found my Caps and Bucky today at the awesome Target over here in Hayward. All the Transformers stuff is out as well, on a side note.

Found all of Cap Wave 1 plus the deluxe packs at Target in Columbia, MD.

I just opened them up and I am completely underwelmed.
They just seem a little junky. The paint apps aren't great, the sculpt Is ok at best. The accessories go from suck to blow.

I wonder if that will also be the day that Wave 2 of the Thor figures hit. I say this because it appears Wave 2 of Cap will also be available the same day and a few of the ebay sellers who have that case, also have the Helmeted Thor, Destroyer and Warriors Three.

But then again, would they really put a release date on a second wave of a line already out in stores?

I don't get it. Are the sculpts and paint apps worse than "in hand" pics you've seen? Or do you just not like the pics or the figures?

Paint apps are clumsy. I looked through to find the best of each I could find and still nothing even remotely close to last few waves of MU (which were pretty damn good IMHO). As for the figures themselves, I wasn't holding my breath for them to be great based on prior pics. The best are the repaint of the SDCC exclusive cap and the winter soldier. The figures are stocky which is OK but the head sculpts I think are a bit too large (except for SDCC cap) and make Cap look constipated. Regular cap can't get his arms at his side completely but that is minor I'd say. The guns are all rubber and bendy and the shields don't have straps, just pegs to stick into caps back.

Like I said, underwhelming, not horrible, just underwhelming.

Damn! My taget only has the crappy vehicles and some Humvee lookin thing with a really bad Cap figure included.
The fig looked more 3" like some of the IM2 line than 3.75"

Comic fans- keep your MU shields! the movie version...it's not great.

Ran the DCPI after work on the little red scan box at the Target across the street from work. Read: "In Stock" but not in the aisle. So there were like 7 employees standing around, told one of them, he went in the back room, opened up the box, and i picked out 1-4. I prodded about the deluxe packs, but he had no idea what I was talking about so I left him alone, he had serviced me enough lol

I don't think it is (not that I pulled the head off).

While the Winter Soldier fig is the better fig in the series I think I figured out what is bugging me with the Cap line. Too Cartoony. I put the figs against their MU counterpart and they just don't stand up.

In terms of style, it looks like they do which is kind of cool. And Winter Soldier does look like he could be Zartan's son.

Ok since some of you have gotten the first few figures, I guess I'd be the first to say that Target in Dadeland (MIA/fl) is now starting to stock these figures, it has been a long wait to see what new stuff Trgt would stock up, and apparently they now have some GL figures as well. So far I have not seen any exclusives just yet. But I will keep an eye for these.

On a side note, I'm really excited about the Comic Series Capt. America, the one that trebleshot placed here. I'm impressed at the number of POA it has especially on the wrist and ankles!!! I'm going to do a vid to show you guys what you are getting for $8!!!

Nice to see deluxe Cap figures at $10. Hope it stays that way. Thor/IM deluxes are usually around $13+
