It sucks for all of us who got the Heroic Age Bucky Cap to display with our modern Avengers line up.

MAJOR SPOILER BELOW Since they killed him off yet again in Fear Itself #3 released today... Poor Bucky in my opinion he was a much more interesting Captain America and brought more humanity to the do no wrong character Steve Rogers portrays. We shall miss you Bucky. #$%^&*()_^&*() DAMN IT! DAMN ET! Ugh..

I doubt he'll stay dead at all- Valkerie is right there, standing over him as he dies- and Bucky died fighting an asgardian- and honorably.

I'm thinking he goes to Valhalla, rounds up all the fallen heroes there and returns with them to kick this Serpent guy's ass! |

I haven't read Fear Itself yet. I'll wait 'till its all done then get the collection. But from what I know about it, that sounds completely logical, however, if that doesn't happen, who do you think or like to see pick up the shield in Buckys absence?

With that being said, you think Hasbro would be fast enough to make a figure of this new Captain America if a new one comes into play?

Confirmed? I need source sir! Lol. I personally think that's a silly way to go, action figure wise. In the MU line we are still waiting for the release of Captain Steve Rogers figure. I don't know, I just prefer Rogers in his current attire/role. I think Falcon or Patriot should go for the Cap mantle.

Oh wait...is this in reference to the movie? Oh boy I walked right into that one XD So yeah, we get a great Buckycap figure just in time for him to die and an upsoming Steve Rogers figure three months after he's no longer in that costume! If nothing else, I was thinking of buying an extra Buckycap and a wooden square stand, a can of Flecstone and making a memorial statue. Easy enough. The Steve Rogers figure will still be great to buy and pop off his head and put that onto a spare Cap body for the "unmasked look". |

Toys are rarely, if ever, going to be able to fully keep up with the developments in the comics. Marvel Universe has already done a far better job than most lines with putting "modern" versions of various characters out in a somewhat timely fashion (Bleeding Edge Iron Man, Iron Patriot, and "Commander Steve Rogers" in particular).

Most folks pretty much (correctly) guessed that Steve would be back in the Cap role and costume permanently around the time the movie hits. I doubt Bucky stays dead though...there are still other glimpses of the future that we've seen in the MU where Bucky was still alive, albeit back in the Winter Soldier role. Seeing as the "Fear Itself" event is a magic-based event and they've already hinted that Thor will supposedly die as well, I'm betting a big ol' "reset button" gets hit at the end or something, because I'm pretty sure they're not killing Thor right after his movie and a relaunch of his own title. Wow, so Bucky dies!? I just finished reading Avengers #6 earlier this day. The one with the Kang versus Ultron story arc. Future Hulk and Iron Man said something about Bucky's fate... is this connected to the Fear Itself events? I haven't started reading that arc yet. Kinda fcked up indeed.. getting a good Bucky Cap figure and an upcoming Commander Rogers.. damn.. major bummer if true.. Last edited by agentsands; 06-02-2011 at 11:12 AM.. |

Scored Red Skull and Crossbones at the Disney store today. Unfortunately they were like $9.50 each.

I picked up one extra of each. If anyone is interested in them shoot me a pm. |

![]() I got these at TRU today. Their Cap pegs were less than half full (all w1). As I'm walking out one of the employees asks if I'm finding everything ok, so I ask if they have more Cap figs, she does her thing and it turns out there was one single unopened case of them in the back. She offers to get it for me, it was w2, done.

Check out his oneshot- it's called "Captain America and Crossbones" but Cap's only in it for a flashback where Crossbones shot him in the back. It's really great- explains his motivations and why he is how he is. Brutal story too. |

Yes- that's the one. I really loved it- very atmospheric and moody (and I read it on a rainy day, like in the story).

His recent stint on the Thunderbolts was excellent as well (same creative team as the oneshot I think). Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 06-02-2011 at 10:27 PM.. |
