Feel like I've been Rick Rolled on #15, Hydra Soldier 2 plus Variant. Essentially the same exact figure as #12, except on the other side of the bubble. #16 Desert Battle, again fairly gimmicky, but lightyears better than the same mold in the Fire and Ice 2-pack. Still waiting on Assault Shield Deluxe figure. Now according to many lists, #16 wraps it up...but I'm doubting it. I'm thinking this weekend will unveil a slew more.

still seeing a major missed opportunity with the captain america line. While I have been very pleased with some of the figures, I'm seeing a lot of missing Captain America related characters who could use some plastic. Wheres Zemo? Arnim Zola? Master Man?(Hydra logo on the chest instead of the swastika), Dum Dum Dugan? Hitler?(I remember all the Indiana Jones Hasbro fans begged Hasbro to make a Hitler. Nows their second chance to Beg :P) Mostly getting a bunch of the cliche multi colored uniforms used for specific situations, like in Batman the Animated Series toyline, with only a couple villains.

Besides an "Assault Shield" Deluxe figure (which some actually list in Wave 3), I do believe that is all.

well. it could continue. around this time last year, we didnt know The IM2 line would have Mandarin and comic War Machine and Comic Whiplash untill Comiccon. It could be that Hasbro has one last wave for this line.

Andy, you're like my Cap toyline reference guide. I'm never sure what I'll be buying from that line until you post. No doubt I'm getting that desert Cap. Can anyone say, "Seal Team Six Cap?" Or, "Bust a cap in Bin Laden's eye Cap?" I can. Did. And will. ..after all, "heros are made in America."

Tired of all the shields except for the strapped shields. That Buckcap shield is too damn big and heavy!

This is pure speculation on my part, but I would not be at all surprised to see another wave or two of figures popping up at SDCC this weekend. While the Thor line is almost certainly being canned at 4 waves (especially since wave 2 and 3 have only barely made it to retail) and thus dooming any chance of us seeing "Thor comic series" figures, The Captain America line seems to be selling better. I would not be surprised at all to see the following pop up: Movie Bucky "Unmasked" Red Skull (Hugo Weaving Likeness, probably with swappable head) Unmasked Captain America "First Mission" Captain America (Leather bomber jacket, helmet w/goggles, kite shield) Possibly a single-carded 3 3/4" Movie Nick Fury Comic Bucky (New Version of WW II era Bucky) Baron Zemo (Modern) Comic Red Skull "Reborn" Captain America (Slightly modernized "classic" Cap with the helmet from the Reborn series) Comic Nick Fury (Regular Marvel Universe) Unfortunately, while I'd love to see the following I'm betting they're long shots/not likely: Arnim Zola (Comic and Movie versions) Dum-Dum Dugan (And the rest of the Howling Commandos) Peggy Carter (Movie) Sharon Carter (Comic) Anyway, my predictions may be way off, but I'm betting on at least two more waves of figures being unveiled on...Saturday I think it is? |
