Who do I talk to about broken NECA figures? I had a Christopher Reeve Superman and a Jaeger break right out of the package and I would like to see about getting them replaced.
I love their stuff but I am always so worried they will break, so I hardly ever touch them....

You can fill out the Customer Service form on their website. You can also contact NECA Customer Service on Twitter. They've been replacing all the DC figures that snapped. Apparently, 1st batch seemed like it had problems.

Great stuff, thanks! My introduction to NECA came within the last couple of years as I've focused on Iron Man products. I've picked up NECA's 1/4 scale Midas, Mark 7, and Mark 7 battle damage. Looking forward to their 1/4 scale Mark 43, which I believe is scheduled for release this month.

Keeping up with the TF Masterpiece line and the never-ending Hot Toys Iron Man suits consumes all my hobby/collectible funds, so I'm nearly exclusive to those lines... but I couldn't pass up the imposing size and beautiful packaging of the NECA products.

Bravo to Toyark--I don't get online a ton these days, but when I do I always end up here for a while to catch up. And I think IshTalkers was just a bit ahead of its time... it was very forward-thinking.

Interesting, especially the Shaw Bros stuff. One point of information: The Shaw Brothers were responsible for "iconic Chinese Kung-fu" cinema, not Japanese. I've been a considerable Shaw Bros fan since childhood and I'd wondered what happened to the announced figs. I'm still interested to find out about the particulars of why the figs were never brought to market.

Thanks for the clarification, updated.

I believe there was a general lack of retailer interest at the time. In 2008, the online toy market probably wasn't enough to sustain it's own dedicated sales. So NECA and others required (and still do) brick and mortar retailers to pick up their releases. I can see why these weren't put out. I can't really picture these on shelves at Toys "R" Us. These days, though, something like that may have a better chance, with dedicated pop culture stores now a thing (look at the new FYE stores).

These unreleased figures are all heart breaks. The rocky horror figures hurt the most. Can you ask Randy if anything has changed for them....funko just released reaction figures of rocky horror. Perhaps Neca can explore again?

The ring would have been awesome,9 would have been great to complete. I do have the zombie Ed figure,my opinion is that I like it enough to put with the feast of my cult classics.

He actually talked about them on Twitter fairly recently. Still no chance of them. Funko doesn't have to deal with likeness rights. They do generic style sculpts for their Pop! Vinyls and ReAction line. If you look at their ReAction figures, the cards are generic, and don't feature the actors (their giveaway for not using likeness rights).

Thanks for the info. I can see retailers scratching their heads about the marketability of this line. Shaw Bro fandom is a very finite niche. While I might recognize these characters to be from "8 Diagram Pole Fighter" and "5 Deadly Venoms," most people just aren't that familiar with these 70's kung-fu classics. Golden Harvest struck gold with Bruce Lee and the legend's name kept the film company relevant in the 80's/90's. While Shaw Bros made THE BEST kung-fu flicks (did I mention I was a fan?), they were relegated to the status of "wire-fu." The semi-obscurity of Shaw Bro flicks is a real shame. No one, at the time, could touch their fight-choreography, wardrobes, story telling, or acting/performances.

Too bad about the Shaw Brothers. That would have been a great line for printable backgrounds.

This is the golden article so far for ToyArk's Week of NECA. I've always wondered about unreleased figures they have done. The big shocker for me here was finding out about the Shaw Brothers figures. As a big fan of old-school Hong Kong Kung-Fu movies, those would have been a must-buy for me. Big letdown that they never came to be.

Any chance you guys can get some info/photos on the unreleased Bioshock Infinite stuff? I heard there was a figure to two that never made it out from that line.

^^ How could I neglect to mention the sets and locales they used...you are right, Shaw Bro stills would make for excellent printable backgrounds.

Was there anything Bioshock Infinite we didn't see at prior Toy Fair's and Comic-Con's? I was digging through our archives all last week doing this and didn't see anything that I don't remember releasing. I can double check though.

I think the only thing that wasn't at any convention to my recollection was the Handyman which was instead seen in the background of other teases for other lines but already cancelled at that point. I don't think any convention-shown or solicited Bioshock Infinite figures were cancelled.

Ah, Handyman. Yeah, that one slipped my mind when doing this. Was no way to do them all. Plus was trying to remember ones I saw at studio that weren't shown. But wanted to include pics, so left those out, plus didn't want to get in trouble for posting those.

I do believe Will has been credited by NECA on multiple occasions, including having his name on both Jason boxes.

This is true, yes. But I don't think a lot of people are really familiar with the story behind the line. Not that it's this long, detailed, epic story or anything...

Wow, would have definitely bought some of a Shaw Bros line, especially if NECA was doing them.

Also makes me want One Arm Boxer and Master of the flying guillotine figures. And Man with the Iron Fist figures too.

OMG, yes! A Master of the Flying Guillotine figure would be the greatest thing ever.

Wasn't wild about that one. RZA should just stick to rapping about Kung-Fu instead of making movies about it.

I liked the look and style of it. The designs were really cool. And honestly, it's a bad movie that's just fun to watch.

Great choices. I would add figs from Dirty Ho, 5 Deadly Venoms/Unbeatable Dragon/Killer Army/Kid with the Golden Arms (the cast was the same for all of these movies), The Master (aka 3 Evil Masters), and of course Fist of the White Lotus....in fact, I could live with just a fig of Pai Mei alone.

...and yeah, the RZA spitting = fire...RZA acting = hot garbage...EDIT: but Man with the Iron Fists was fun to watch..

Now I have about 76 NECA toys with multiple shelves devoted just for them and I damn well know I'll be expanding for more as the new year rolls on. +1 to all of that, that's been my experience too

Then of course I got into the Aliens line, Robocop, and now maybe Terminator
