Wow the likeness on the head sculpt is spot on if you ask me. I am a little disappointed that they announced this when they already have the standard version coming out which alot of people (including myself), have already paid our non refundable deposits ha. Judging by the facebook comments, people feel the same.

Normal version is $423, so I'm guessing this will be the same or fairly close in price.

On a side note, they showed a teaser for "fat" thor but I have not seen that posted on here yet.

They've shown a couple teasers. Was hholding off on those, as they usually show a handful of teasers before the show. But there's only be like 3. Fat Thor, Hulk with Gauntlet and something with Vulture from Homecoming.

You shouldn't be disappointed, you should be insulted. S*** like this (among other things) is why I can't respect or support this company anymore. If people consider that "snarky" or "entitled" then too bad.

As for the Facebook page, well, that place is a complete cesspool. Sure, maybe those clowns have a point today but tomorrow it's back to nitpicking about facial details and whining that HT hasn't made Bruce Wayne in his bathrobe from TDKR yet.

LOL at the FB reference BC that's exactly what I saw when I looked there. The comments for both the Thor and Hulk tease are filled with ppl posting pictures of TDK Batman and Justice League figures that were never made but previewed by Hot Toys and them asking Hot Toys why they weren't made yet lol. Like wtf this isn't even related to Avengers. Go take your saltiness somewhere else.

Wow, this isn't going to be out until almost 2022. Talk about striking while the iron (man) is hot.

That bothers me more than anything else honestly. Why bother showing a product that is 2.5 years from maybe being released? I personally dislike when it's anything over 12 months away.

It bothers me more that they're putting it up for PO so early, but then also not long after the first one? This is such a dick move.

Why give the gauntlet to the clean Tony? Why give the shield to the BD Tony? Literally nothing makes sense, I'm so frigging annoyed with this.

I may actually buy this one and the regular one too. I know that's a lot to spend but this being like his last appearance. I can not pass these up.

Yeah that's pretty common behavior for that comment section. I personally think the constant begging for figures is pathetic (especially when the request is absurd) but at the same time I feel HT brings it on themselves. On top of issues like this BD Iron Man they respond to absolutely nothing, particularly in regards to the DOZENS of unreleased prototypes and promised licenses they have lying around. When you show off prototypes of Cyborg, Arkham Batgirl and Agent Smith you can't just assume people are going to forget about it.

Maybe the point of putting it out there so early is for 2 reasons, 1 to capture the hype of the excitement while the movie is still fresh so people lock in with there non refundable preorder deposits, and to atleast put this out there incase someone is thinking of buying another version? I'm not sure but it does suck to wait forever for these. Infinity War figures are still dropping and that's been out what a Year and a Half?

Also, I am getting the normal version even though its quite pricey because I too, figured why not since it's Tony Starks last ride. Same with Scarlet Jo as Black Widow. BUT, this is the MCU afterall and they are flirting with a multiverse/time travel, etc.

If for some reason the "new" MCU post Steve Rodgers/Tony Stark/Natasha doesn't get off to a great start or people aren't as interested anymore (I know highly doubtful!), I wouldn't be surprised if Disney offered RDJ a ton of money to come back as some alternate reality Iron Man to bring back fans. Again I know highly doubtful and there's so many characters Marvel could use moving forward to sustain their MCU, but just a hypothetical way to keep making more RDJ Iron Man toys lol.

I believe they provided an update stating that the first one will have a gauntlet. Don't quote me.

But that's beside the point. The release dates on these figures have been out of control (and getting worse) for years. And yes, it is a d*** move, there's no excuse for all this to not be included in one figure. But when you're a high end collectible company constantly making one poor business decision after another it seems you're only recourse to stay in business is to fleece the consumer.

That whole "hype" excuse is fine if you're Hasbro and your product retails for $20 or less a pop. Hot Toys wasn't always a "hype train" company. Sure they've always tried to release figures from current properties but HT's best work was always on older properties from classic pop culture that they could take their time on.

I think it's pretty fair to say that RDJ as Iron Man in engrained in pop culture, so I really don't see how waiting for the film to come out, reviewing the footage (particularly spoiler footage) and taking your time to make one (keyword there) ultimate Endgame Iron Man is going to negatively affect business.

You know what does affect business? Releasing the same f****** figure with more bells and whistles (and, oh yeah, MULTIPLE Infinity Gauntlets) after your loyal customer base just preordered and put a down payment on the first one.
