I searched First under the toy discussion sections and couldn't find this and I figured I'd ask. Which figure was your first Marvel Universe figure? Did you get more than one? Was it enough to convince you to keep collecting them? My first figure was Hobgoblin and I really did think at the time that I wouldn't get the rest of them. I was really impressed with the amount of detail and the articulation. However, I wasn't completely sold yet because the quality seemed like it kind of lacked. The legs wouldn't bend properly and would pop off when I tried to pose him on his Goblin Glider.

I was only going to collect the Spider-man figures and their villains. I ended up getting Green Goblin and Electro. Then I ended up getting Punisher and the Spider-man and His Amazing Friends 3 pack and it was all downhill from there. LOL.

My first was Red Hulk. At the time I was reading everything to do with Red Hulk, so when I found him I had to buy him. Honestly, getting this into Marvel Universe was a mistake. It was only suppose to be ONE!

Ms. Marvel (Warbird) was the first I grabbed. I've always been a fan of the costume so I couldn't resist. I knew I was going to get more in any case as most of my figures seem to be around 1/18 scale.

My first was Captain America. (I bought him and Silver Surfer at the same time but I opened him first.) I bought him because, ... well i really don't know why i bought him.

I bought all of wave 1 (minus Bullseye) and wave 2 right from the the get go. I was big time into 25th Joes at the time and when it was announced that these guys were coming out I knew right away I'd be buying them. I went to Walmart one Friday after work and they had just stocked all of them. And yes, waves 1 & 2 actually came out at the same time. It was actually the same time as the XMO: Wolverine figures came out. I remember going to TRU right after and picking up some of those figures too that day.

I really love the 3 3/4 scale, and when the X-Men Origins figures came out I would always look at them but never bought one. Over time I would see figures like Blade in stores, but the girl I was dating at that time hated that I collected toys so I always passed on them. Well eventually I found Green Goblin, and had to own it. I popped it open when I got home, and fell in love with the toy line for the first time.

I used to work at a HomeHardware store, and found out they can order MU, got a case ordered and snagged me regular and stealth Iron man, was hooked on scale and detail and paint, wanted more, which developed into the to the toy hunts I have today. And a big difference from series 1 to now.

They were birthday presents; Cyclops & Hulk Comic Pack, Venom, Iron Man 2 comic Iron Man, and MU light blue Human Torch!
...Nope wait, i got Jean Grey for my Cyclops display months before that. I wasn't too big a fan of the line until after the birthday presents.

Mines Green hulk.

At first i thought the smaller scale was dumb but i had a couple bucks in my pocket so i thought "why not"

Fell in love with the line! I went on a hunting rampage that week.

My first was X-Force Wolverine but he doesn't really count because he fell off my shelf a day or two later and my dog destroyed him. The Dark Wolverine and Dark Spiderman pack was the start of my collection I had planned on just collecting the Dark Avengers but that didn't last.

I think Moon Knight was my first. Or maybe it was black-gloved Punisher. Or maybe it was Red Hulk....

It frustrates me that I can't remember my first one. Although, I don't see why I would just pick up Punisher like that, so it's either gotta be Rulk or MK.

Comic 2 Pack Cap and Wolverine was the first one i bought...ahh the memories of freshly opened toys this line actually got me back into collecting seriously, before i was the casual collector picking up movie NECA and McFarlane figs. I would have picked up the Legends line but I just find that scale to be too big, I prefer more figs in a smaller space so the 3.75 scale is perfect for me. Before this i was hooked on Heroclix, again size wise i just prefer smaller.

My first two, I bought both at the same time, were at a Target in 2009. I purchased Wave 1's Spider-Man and Wave 2's Iron Fist together.

At first I was just going to buy personal favorites, like those two and Daredevil and Moon Knight and the Hobgoblin. But I liked the line so much, and since I wanted visual representations for the Marvel Super-Heroes Adventure Game I decided I'd buy more figures. I'm not a completionist. I'm not buying every figure and every alternate. And there are some figures I won't touch with a ten-foot pole. But my collection has grown well beyond what I originally intended.

First was modern Thor, then I slept on the line for 6 months or so. I was never into collecting figures, then I bought Bucky Cap when I was drunk one night on ebay, then from there, all the new Avengers, ,then everyone. Luckily, my girl isn't too bummed on this, so here I am.

I bought wave 1 as a set from BBTS and figured I would give the line a chance to get better before deciding to not get the anymore.

Luckily the line improved as time progressed and I still collect them today.

my first was the entire Wave 1. I had interest in the series but was collecting gijoe at the time. the gijoe movie was coming out and I had zero interest collecting any of that, so one day, before the official street date of wave 1, I hopped into meijers and found the entire first wave, including flame on human torch and bullseye and white glove/boot punisher. I Picked up the entire set, and the rest as they say, is history. ended up selling my modern gijoes and vehicles, breaking even on them, to fund Marvel U
