Some of us just had different stylistic expectations for this line I guess, or were hoping for more diversity with a few humans in spacesuits sprinkled in to fight these aliens. So far these all look like random aliens from shows like Stargate or Farscape to me and the style is just too busy/modern looking to appeal to me.

I'm not trying to bash them too much, but I can't tell you a single thing about the story of Mythic Legions and with this they're really concentrating on some cell block fight of a random space prison. It seems odd and kind of unnecessary? Nobody knows what to expect, I don't think that many are invested in the type of story though.

I've always preferred the lack of story with them- that will probably change with the game coming out and they expand more on the story.

I made this point over at TFW2005. I don't understand why they created this hyper specific story for CL and seem to be concentrating on filling it out with characters that mainly fit with it (and are so uniquely Cosmic Legions). To back up the prison fight storyline, most of these characters, for some reason, only come with melee weapons that seem drawn from Mythic Legions. Their sci-fi utility is even less than Wave 1.

Mythic Legions works because elves, orcs, skeletons, knights, etc. can be part of any fantasy setting so who cares about their story (which has always been paper thin anyway). These aliens just don't seem the same.
