Hey fellow arker's. I'm just wondering how much we spend at the store for our favorite MU figures. From the cheapest to the most expensive. Not including tax.

Here the cheapest is Walmart is 7.96 and the most expensive at a Target is 8.79.

Just wondering...

About $8 retail, and at specialty shops they go for $12-20 depending on what you're looking for.

Walmart and Target are the same as Exodus for me, and the specialty shops is pretty close to DFD, though I've seen MU at these shops as high as $30 a figure...

For me there's 3 major retails, Zellers which is the Canadian equivalent of Target and Walmart charge $9.99/ MU/Thor/CAP/IM/Spidey. $18.99 for 2packs, I also have a few comic shops that carry the odd stuff and they normally charge $12.50, good thing is not as much shopping traffic hits these places so when they get stock not much moves, but it also sucks paying extra only to find it at retail the day after.lol. I was able to score Hemidall,Destroyer, stretch strike venom, and some good MU figures that I couldn't find elsewhere , so I don't mind paying a premium, as I know he probably paid 8 and needs to make some profit where as walmart pays like 3-4 and charges 8-9. I found a seller on ebay who buys damged lots of MU figures 200 at a time and has some great finds along with fellow arkers I try these routes more so now then retail venues.

It's the same for MU. What's interesting though, the 6in ironman 2 figures were 14.99 at walmart and 17.99 at toys r us on release. They have since lowered the price to 14.99

Maybe for Canadian Walmarts, but down here I'm pretty sure they get them for at least $2. Maybe less.

i buy full case assortments at a time from my lcs, but it works out to around 11.40ish a figure. retail they are anywhere from 9 (walmart) to 12 (zellers and tru). so, its just the easiest way ive found to go about it. plus i can always sell off doubles if need be to make up some of the initial cost.

Is your LCS ordering them directly from Hasbro, or through Diamond?

My LCS orders from Diamond. I'm trading them 8 older figures for all 6 of the next (psylocke) wave, so they can start carrying more MU. Right now they have one Gladiator, lol.

Edit: Sorry, off topic there. To get back onto it, I know that the Diamond catalog offers the full wave for $96, but that my LCS gets a discount based on their order volume, which potentially puts them around $11 a figure. They randomly price the figure based on how cool they think it is, or if they do a completed listings search on evilBay. I'm trying to get them to kick that habit, but it's slow going.

Wish I had a LCS. I hate driving for 30-45 min north, or south to buy a comic, or come home empty handed.

im not sure, when i made the deal with them to get them in i never went over the details on their end. i would assume not directly since they are not a big place at all. you wouldn't even know they where a comic shop from the outside.

11 and some change is a decent price either way per fig since i was already paying over that going through ebay and other outside sources. my area just doesnt carry these guys anymore....unless you count the lone aim solider that been sitting on the peg for over a year now lol

My LCS charges $12.49 for MU figs, but I have a feeling Psylocke will be at least $19.99... which I will gladly pay since I am too lazy to hunt nowadays. LOL.

The last single card MU I got at retail was WWH and Bleeding Edge IM from TRU. Target here is normally $9.39 I think... $9 something anyway. The rest of my MU purchases have all been from my LCS or specialty toy shops ranging from $12 - $15 each.

I'm lucky that the 3 specialty stores that sell comics and toys aren't scammers and scalpers. If a toy costs them 9.99 they charge 12.99 enough to make back their inveseted $$ and turn a profit, which in my eyes is fine, they need $$ I need plastic crack, and I'd rather see a local guy make an honest living then a conglamorate company like Walmart adding another $ to the massive pile. I am fortunate though that they don't go through ebay sources and stuff and rape me on pricing and charge $8 for 1 figure and $15 for another. Fuck that, You paid the same price/every figure so I should be able to do the same. I can understand maybe that odd figure being the 1/case that they have to charge more for online due to keeping control of inventory levels, but in a retail setting price should be dictated by the buying price the owner pays for the product and the percentage of markup needed to turn a profit and pay for overhead, not what they think they can take me for. The only time they quote high numbers are with vintage comics and to me that's understandable. I was actually drooling over an Avenger's #1 comic the other day graded 8/10 and they wanted like $20,000, told them to put it on my tab lol.

Now that you put it that way, it isn't bad, when it is a character I really, really want. So far I have been lucky at retail, Wal-Mart just got another Dr Strange wave in, so thats cool.

Yeh exactly, I only justify the extra $$ if it's item I can't find retail/trade bait. Like Thanos, have yet to strike him retail, but I'd pay the extra at a comic shop if it means I can have in my collection, "lesser" figures such aim soldiers/hand ninjas I feel retail is too much, so I'm not going to justify paying more for something I find hard paying regular pricing for or can buy cheap loose on ebay.
