The BAF / C&C discussion has inspired me to create a common B/S/T "exchange" thread. Anyone who has DC C&C parts lying around, feel free to post and take a look at what others have available. Be forewarned, it's a brand new post and so far it's just me!

I would need to do a little more research to organize all the ML BAF Series figures in the right order. I will post one in the next few days if I don't see one pop-up first. Thanks, guys. |

Just saw this set today at Walmart. Owl Man is such an awesome figure. I would love to own him but can't justify buying the whole pack just for him.

Found 5 5-packs at my Walmart, 75 dollars doesn't seem like its worth the money for this 5 pack.

Every super expensive 5-pack I've ever bought, full price... I *always* find marked down to like $20 in a few weeks to months later.
Every one I've wanted for a figure or two (Such as the Batman/Superman, I wanted for Catwoman and Two Face), I couldn't justify the full price... and it *never* ever gets reduced. One walmart sat on the Batman/Superman set for over a year full price (In fact, I think I even saw it last time I was out that way). Every other store, they don't get marked down, they just dissappear. All I want out of this set is Owlman. I have a feeling it's never gonna get marked down for me. >_<

Due to the plethora of BAF / C&C figures, I was going to do a separate post for Marvel Legends BAF pieces (or let someone else start one).

There is one in my area just sitting there, and after reading the ridiculous price tag below it I could see why. I don't see why anyone would pay that much, but the figures were pretty awesome looking.

Saw this set today and surprisingly passed on it. I couldn't get over the price tag. $75 for five figures is fine but I only really want Owlman and maybe Super Woman.

Wal Mart in my area never has any good toys so I bought mine off eBay.
Owl Man is the best in the set. I've been a fan of the Crime Syndicate ever since the Grant Morrison graphic novel. |

Man, I wanted all 5 characters. This was a total buy for me. Only thing is I wish it had White Martian, Barracuda and Blood Eagle, too.

Yeah, they're ALL dead or have died. The entire Crime Syndicate died during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and then were rehashed and died a few more times. The only reason I care is that it's a neat idea to have evil doppleganger versions of the Big 7 (toss in Hawkman's evil twin for flavour) and the pair and pose options would be pretty neat.

I'll find a way to get this set on the cheap, and when I do, I will hook up the Arkers with all of them except Owlman (dibs, sorry). PM me with a request for one of the others, and I'll hook you up for $10 each shipped.

I'd just on that, but Owl Man is my #1 for getting that, along with everyone else. Then Ultraman, Super Woman, Power Ring and *giggles* Johnny Quick. People will be pming you like mad to get the extra figures you don't want, but hey, you may fall inlove with them and change your mind, I would :P.

I think this goes hand in hand with my other rant in the Archangel thread. I buy when I get the most enjoyment out of a toy. In all fairness, my enjoyment will go down. In fact, if I passed on every MU figure up until this point, I'd probably be just fine, just not having gotten any enjoyment from MU but be several thousand dollars richer or spent it on something else. I want the Crime Syndicate right now because I yearn for it at the moment. If I just didn't buy it and let time pass until I didn't care about it anymore, I probably just wouldn't ever own it. LOL. Knowing that is actually kind of depressing. LOL.

I'm a sucker for all things Batman (my car is even decked out with Batman stuff) and I have noticed that my comic interests and collecting have been geared more toward Batman lately, now that I have decided to cut back my spending/collecting. That aside, Owlman is an intriguing addition to the figures I currently refuse to let go of, so I am going to pick him up. Oh, and the figure reminds me of The Watchmen. Go figure.

The Ted Kord Blue Beetle? His figure isn't that expensive. I just picked him up for a decent price from a lot although I've seen him going for anywhere from $6 to $25.
