If any of the pros on here have any general advice, it'd be much welcomed.
I've done some fairly extensive detailing on TFs in the past, and one minor repaint one one (Just taking the base colors, and altering some of the details to convert TCC Dion into G2 Windbreaker. Nothing difficult or major), but I'm now considering doing a fairly major and extinsive custom, and I fear this is probably over my head. I want to make this character of mine, for my DCUC display, and want to use a Marvel Universe new female mold for her base (She's a very small character. While MU is a bit too small, it's still roughly in scale): What I have planned is I'm going to take the wings from a My Little Pony glimmerwing pony for her wings, and I'm planning on using an MU female mold. I want to use the newer mold, but have very poor knowledge of who's out there that uses it. I originally planned on using an X-23, but there are probably better choices (And as soon as I decided this, they all vanished). I just don't know them. So, do any MU collectors have suggestions for a recipe that would be doable for a complete novice? And for the master customizers, would it be best to use pre-existing wings from another toy, or to try to fabricate something? (And how would I even attach them?)

So I'm not sure what you can find or what your budget is, but if you can find it, the new Scarlet Witch would be a great base for this. It has the thigh high boots, and the colors aren't all that far off. If you can't find her though, she is above average price on secondary markets like ebay.

Yeah, Scarlet Witch is definately one I'm considering. Found her the other day (One of the few characters I really wanted, was happy), and am keeping my eye out for a second.

Not sure if you've seen these yet, but I think these might work nicely for this particular custom.
They are "Winx Club" action dolls, you can find them on amazon for about 8-9 bucks.
