I would like to start a thread where Arkers can post people or companies that produce cast parts for 3 3/4 figures. If you've done business with said people, let us know if you would recommend them or not.
-Slayer Design Studios -Broken ArrowToys -Onyx Pheonix Productions -Stews Custom Castings I've received heads from Slayer and Broken Arrow. Quality was good from both. Shipping time with Broken Arrow was over 6 weeks and communication could have been better. Shipping from Slayer was close to what they indicate.

Onyx Phoenix is fantastic. Another good one is Hunter Artworks at hunterartworks.ecrater.com/. He's my favorite because he ships within a couple of days. I just wish he'd expand his selection.
I'm too impatient to wait weeks and weeks for something. If I've got a custom in mind, I have to get it done quick.

Brilliant thread.
Ive used Slayer. Great quality sculpts and they do have a huge catalogue of items so keep an eye out for when they are in the store. They havent got as much on there at the moment but the stuff they do have is excellent! I wondered if there are any casters on this website that sell the odd cast here and there?

Placed an order the other day with Hunter Artworks. Are these items in stock or is it more like Slayer and the items need to be cast?

What happened to slayer? [I] know they're still around but they have like 10% of their prior selection and if you question them on FB or their forums you're a hater and get shot down. I still like their work but the way things always seem in flux I'm hesitant to place another order.
What happened to the five or six other designers who used to be listed on slayer? Did they just dropout of the hobby or go to another site? |

Should have added above,iv also dealt with Shaun(hunterartworks) great guy,and a pleasure to deal with, iv also had no problems with Dave at SDS (i know others have),except the long wait time for parts, hopefully he will get back on top of things with the reboot they have recently begun,as they make great parts, and despite his faults Dave is a really great guy who has had a difficult couple of years both personally and business-wise......

I bought one of his Doombot heads and stuck it on the green Weapons Drone from the IM2 line. Quick n' easy Doombot!

Hahaha Shaun's a great guy,he loves to push his casting work as far as he possibly can,and he's a great "go to" guy if you need something specific casting,or want a larger head reduce-casting!!

I haven't had trouble with anyone yet. I've ordered from both SDS and OPP multiple times, SDS goign back to Trigate days. I always check Slayer first and I know i will order from them again. I'm suprised to hear about the trouble USAgent is having, I've ordered from him three or four times in the past year will less than two week turn around time. Going back to SDS I really liked the work by Mike Stucco and wanted to locate him if he's still in the hobby. |

I agree with you about Broken Arrow. Been waiting over a year and a half for an order. I've even met the guy. Constantly says he will re make/ send my order every time but I have nothing to show for it. He has yet to provide me with evidence that he shipped my order the first time. I would not do business with him unless you need to. I'm at the point where I'm telling him to just give me my money back.

if you want a good person to buy from try this site out
CKCastings I bought 3 custom iron man heads off him to do my 6'' marvel legends figures and only cost me $3 for head and mask shipped, he does mainly 6'' scale ML and MS but I spoke with him, he does have smaller size sculpts and is always looking to acquire more, if you have a headsculpt he doesn't have, he'll cast you w.e u want for free or you can lend him it and he'll make a cast from it and then be able to offer it, he's from Canada and told me he's in the process of doing MU scale stuff just trying to get more as they're so small he was going to do lots rather then individual, communication is great, and gave tracking info, items took about 2weeks or less to arrive. |

Demand your money back, you guys are way to nice about this. If someone took over a year to send something to me I'd flip out, that is just unprofessional.

I also really wanted the He-Man fist & Sword I ordered but at this point I could care less. It was at least a $50 order.

I dont know if any of you guys saw the Tiger Force Sneek Peek thread over on HT concerning Broken Arrow?? A client had been waiting 12 months for the figure, and after many attempts to sort it with the owner,he blew his stack and posted a thread about it,Broken Arrows owner starting posting and was absolutely vile, his basic attitude(despite being completely in the wrong) was....you think 12months is a long time to wait?? Well now its going to be EVEN longer!! Theres NO WAY in hell i would recommend anyone send business his way, when thats his customer care policy, the client had paid $65 up front, and Mr BA wouldnt even re-fund the cash,so id say deal with him at your own risk...
