I just finished my latest Custom figure. Gwen Stacy began life as an iZombie Liv Moore figure from Diamond Select. I took her apart and repainted every part except for the legs. I looked at some comics and did a google image search to decide the color scheme of her outfit. The hooded jacket and the leggings aren't really accurate to any of her appearances in the comics, but I still think she looks nice. My custom's outfit is a little more modern than what she wore in her classic comics appearances. The head is the alternate head that was included with the new Spider-Gwen Marvel Legends figure. I couldn't find a fleshtone paint that would match the fleshtone on the Spider-Gwen head, so I just repainted her face to match the skintone on her neck and hands. The Liv Moore figure is pretty small for a Select figure. Usually they don't scale well with Marvel Legends, but she fits in well enough for me. I didn't start collecting Legends until a few years ago and my Spider-Man Collection is a mix of Marvel Legends and Marvel Selects, so obviously I'm not too worried about the scale being perfect.

Big Thanks goes out to Phantom Crow for posting a picture of the Liv Moore figure next to a handful of ML figures. That's what made me decide to pull the trigger and get started on this custom.

Here's a couple of pictures of my modest Spider-Man figure collection. The first picture is of my Marvel Select figures. From Left to Right it's the Lizard, Electro, Venom, Rhino, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie figure, Black Cat and The Green Goblin. I started buying the Marvel Select figures because I came late to the party and the old Toy Biz figures were too expensive and too hard to find on the secondary market. I'll probably catch hell for this, but there are a lot of Toy Biz figures that are just plain ugly IMO and a lot of them have bad paint applications. I really dig the Select figures because they are easy to find and the paint is usually pretty good even though they are out of scale with Legends.

The second photo is my Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Classics figures. From Left to Right it's Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spidey, Spider-Man 2 Movie Jonah Jameson with the alternate Chameleon head, Black Cat, My Custom Gwen, Carnage, Pizza Spidey, Kraven, a Custom Mary Jane Watson, Spider-Man Classics Doc Ock, Morbius, Chameleon, Spider-Man Classics Mysterio and Spider-Man Classics Shoot N Grab Spidey with a custom Webline.

I'm hoping that Marvel Select or Marvel Legends gets around to making figures of Classic Versions of Hobgoblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Scorpion, Vulture, The Shocker, Black Suit Spidey and a street clothes Peter Parker. I'd also love to get a hold of the original movie Green Goblin and Doc Ock because I still really like the first 2 Raimi Spider-Man movies.

Thanks again!

Nah, I just do custom figures for fun and to fill gaps in my collection. I did a commission diorama one time and the transaction didn't end well, so now I just do them for fun. I was really lousy for a while, but I kept at it and now I'm usually pretty happy with the figures I put together. Thanks though.

Awesome collection!!
I love Spidey and start collecting all the spidey related characters in Marvel Legends last year, is a long road to complete all of them
