I want a flat clear coat for a custom figure that leaves no sheen what so ever. I tried using Americana Dura Clear Ultra Matte, but it's still way too shiny. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ideally, I'd like something that I apply with a brush, not spray.

I use the brush on lacquer. The fumes are much lighter and it doesn't "melt" the paint like the spray sometimes does.

Thanks for your help. The reviews in the Amazon link sound good. I'm looking for something that's very flat and non-yellowing. This seems to fit the bill.

Sure thing. I've only just started doing customs. Have done 4 figures now and have used this on 3 of them. Haven't had any issues with yellowing. The more coats you use, the flatter it gets, but I've only had to do 2 coats to achieve the look I was looking for. It dries pretty quickly and isn't tacky at all. The one thing I was worried about was if I would be able to paint over the DullCote, and sure enough, new paint goes on with no problem, and actually gets better coverage when applied after.

Interesting, the Americana Ultra Matte that I tried is the opposite in that the more coats you apply, the less flat it gets.
