Whew, whipped up four new GI Joe 25th Anniversary customs this week!
"Once WWII was over we thought the Spear of Destiny had been lost for good. Its power was just too great for one man to wield and although Cobra searched far and wide they never retrieved it. Then along came the Red Skull, the Fuhrer's top scientist. This 'man' if you can call him that was reanimated by the Spear's power a long time ago and has spent every waking hour trying to track it back down after the war had ended. He is not quite living and yet not quite dead, equipped with the technology to reanimate the corpses of perished soldiers into walking abominations. Now the Red Skull has found the map that will lead him to the Spear and with , will try and raise armies of the dead to take over the world. If Cobra had any sense they'd try to stop him too!” This Red Skull is the first Marvel/GI Joe 'crossover' figure I've done where the character is created in a whole new style rather than just scaled down. The helmet was made from a Bomberman accessory and magnetically attaches. He was made from: Head: Montezuma's Skeleton Body: Barbecue Forearms/hands: SW EVO Trooper More pics!---> Custom GI Joe Universe Red Skull -------------- ”We were amazed at the new technology that War Zone brought with him when he joined the Joe team. Most notable were the designs to build lightweight mecha that could be used in both urban and combat areas. The Iron Strike mech is one of the combat units used for long/medium range assaults. It's equipped with twin gauss cannons, a smaller laser cannon, and twin front mounted machine guns. Also it has a retractable claw for rescue or removing debris from its path, a great additon. Currently Scarlett has trained in piloting this version and she's loving every minute of it, crushing B.A.T.s beneath the Iron Strike's armored feet and blowing away HISS tanks from a distance! ” The Iron Strike mecha is actually my first GI Joe custom vehicle and was made from the smaller-scaled Sigma 6 Iron Hammer with new side cannons from a Kid Connections playset, neo shifters arm, and various fodder parts. The entire inside ****pit had to be yanked and redesigned to accomodate the 3 3/4" scale figures. Scarlett was the basic Scarlett given new pouch and armor accessories. More pics!----> Custom GI Joe 'Iron Strike' Mecha with pilot Scarlett ------------------ ”Normally we'd send a guy like this packing upon enlistment as he claimed he was 'sent from the future' to help with the fight against Cobra. But after seeing what he can do in combat and the amazing technology he can design, well we really don't know what to think. Known only as War Zone this grizzled vet tells stories of surviving World War 3 and displays remarkable agility and strength for someone his age. Although he won't let Doc get close enough to run any tests on him we've let his that slide for now. War Zone has proved invaluable to the team as both a soldier and friend, currently beating both Shipwreck and Gung-Ho at arm wrestling... at the same time! ” Warzone is the new 'mech tech/future soldier' in the Joe team and was made from: Head: Palisades AoD Ash Body: Snow Serpent Lower Arms: Indiana Jones Upper Legs: Sgt Flash Lowe Legs: Gung Ho Belt: Modded Snake Eyes web gear More pics!----> Custom GI Joe War Zone ------------ ”We don't say the zed-word, just don't. Yet against all things natural 'zombies' now exist courtesy of the Red Skull. The madman has the ability to re-animate the corpses of fallen soldiers and outfit them with razor sharp claws, dumping them into battle as a renewable combat resource. These abominations keep on coming even after you've blown the legs out from under them and have a hunger for human flesh. The only way to stop them is yes, decapitation or blowing through the chest-core that some how regulates their life force. Sometimes they just lie in wait under the debris, reaching up and dragging a soldier down to his death. So now we don't joke about those zombie movies... because we're in one!” The creepy Zombie Soldier has probably shown up in tons of movies and cartoons, now he's crawling his way in to the GI Joe universe. He was made from: Body: AoD Deadite Hands: Titanium Cylon Warrior Left Leg: SW Assassin Droid More pics!-------> GI Joe Zombie Soldier, eeeeew! |

Jin- Nice work on them all! I especially dig the Skull, as he has a very "Buck Rogers" sci-fi feel and look. Ingenious work on the War Zone figure as well combining parts that you wouldn't think would work well together, but actually do. Nice job all around!

So, is WarZone supposed to *be* Ash? It's difficult to see the head and think not, not to mention the implication in the write-up.
The Skull is very cool, very off the beaten path for him. He looks like the Red Skull by way of the Hellboy universe. |

Thanks guys! Warzone could be Ash, but probably isn't, it's just one of those hmmmm things. I forgot to finish his accessories before I took pics but will have them up later. He's more interesting with them. The Red Skull is indeed meant to look retro/sci-fi, glad ya like em!
