Not gonna happen. We are talking about Disney, Marvel, and Sony having Input. Maybe Cameron Boyce (he is a Disney Channel star who voices Jake on Jake and the Neverland Pirates) maybe Thomas Sangster (also Disney Channel Phineas and Ferb) both could be made to look enough like Parker and are aged 15 and 24 respectively

Glover: BAD idea.

Boyce: Too young. He's only 15, and he hardly looks like Peter Parker.

Sangster: Maybe in ten years. Simply: a little kid defying laws of physics is less believable than a bigger kid.

Spiderman Film Box Office Performance

The Raimi films were more successful because the director appreciated and respected canon (third film notwithstanding: Raimi faced unique barriers). Respect for canon needs to be stressed going forward. Now more than ever, people resent social and political agendas, and that's all I'm going to say. Stay on target: focus on canon.

well I only wanted to keep it Comic Book real people forget when Peter Parker became Spiderman he was a Freshman in High School thats roughly 15 years old. I have seen rumors about the Leads from Maze Runner and Percy Jackson. Both are 24. That aside this is huge and so Huge that even Hugh Jackman is talking about wanting to throw down with Robert Downey Jr as Wolverine and Iron Man respectfully. One more Chip and Marvel's Ultimates will be together.

You may be right. I can't find a reference, only that he was in high school long enough to excel in chemistry. His job as a freelance photographer suggests late teens (working age). Likewise the romance with Betty Brant (first romance is usually mid- to late-teens). The fact that he was permitted to go into a wrestling ring and fight professional wrestlers suggests post-pubescent height and bulk. As my gf says, "What-ever."

I just dislike the prospect of SpiderMAN as a little kid.

I'd pay the price of admission for the tussle with Wolverine alone!

I know it's hard to accept a teen being the Hero. When Stan Lee created Spiderman his plan was to move a teen from Sidekick to Hero. To that point the other teens Dick Grayson and Freddie Freeman had been teen sidekicks. Even better to that point only one had been a teen hero Billy Batson but he became an adult in hero form.

I like the idea of a younger Spider-Man you have a better chance of telling a longer story. By comparison how old are Downey Jr and Jackman you have the risk of them aging out.

You're right.

On a similar note, I'm reminded of an interview with Clint Eastwood where someone asked him to do another Dirty Harry movie, and by way of response he asked the fan to imagine the character struggling to lift his revolver while trying to operate a geriatric walker...
