Anyone else grabbing this?

I grabbed myself the Target Collector edition, with the Batman mask as the DVD case.

I strongly hinted to the wife I want the Blu Ray edition as well, even if I don't have a player yet.

Can't wait to get home and pop this in.

I got this preordered from overstock, the BluRay version. Actually the wife preordered it for me, so I'm not sure when or if it's shipped yet. Can't wait though!

I have to wait until Christmas. But it will be the Blu-Ray version, and I can't wait. It's a shame I'll miss the live commentary with Chris Nolan though.

Picked this up on Blu-Ray of which if you have a player is a must own as it looks fantastic in HD.

Bought it the night it came out. Watched it. Loved it. Almost as good as seeing it on the big-screen.

I've had it in my possession since Thursday and tonight is the big night. The wife and I are doing a big dinner/movie night for it's premiere. It's going to be awesome.

Some may call me strange, but I did exactly that. I'm not an avid movie/DVD watcher, so it won't bug me if I don't see this movie right away. So I bought the Blu Ray version in hopes that soon I will get a damn player to go with it. lol

But if you're not that big into movie watching, why spend the money on a bluray player?

I did not get it on Blue Ray because too many old ladies (literally) beat me to the Black Friday BR Player at Wal Mart.

By the way... with this reply I am celebrating my 100th message on Toy Ark... (pause for a party). Thank you!!!

Because I want to upgrade? The reason I'm not a big movie watcher is because I don't have a Blu Ray player. I want to experience everything that BR brings. Which means not only do I need the player, but a TV and stereo system. And I don't have the money for all that right now.

That's why I wanted to get it on black friday. WM had a panasonic Blu Ray for $129. With the difference in quality (very noticable) and the cost finally coming down it was going to be my time to get it. Plus that Blu Ray will convert all past DVDs.

I bet Dark Knight would have looked amazing on it.

I can't wait to see it on BluRay. The fact that it was shot in IMAX format, the detail must be insane.

Only the action scenes were shot in Imax format. And please be aware, when the Imax footage is on screen, the aspect ratio is different than the rest of the film. It can be quite jarring if you aren't expecting it.

IMAX movies are hard to watch sometimes. Can give me a headache.

I'm guessing this more noticeable on the BluRay?

It's actually only noticeable on Blu-Ray. The DVD doesn't have the switching aspect ratios.

Ah, ok, that would explain why I didn't notice. Haven't seen it in BluRay yet.

Joe's right, its the same way as if you watched it in Imax. All of the scenes that were shot are all full screen, and the rest is widescreen, with the bars at the top and bottom. Awesome movie, and if you have a surround sound, then its friggin amazing too.

I've had this movie since the day it came out. It's one of the best movies ever, imo. I rarely say that about a movie, too.

The opening sequence is my favorite opening to any movie ever. Period.
