Nice photos, B! I see you are using acetates/light filters and I also see you've turned the corner on MacFarlane's stuff...unfortunately, I'm still not feeling them.

Hey my guy, I see you nabbed your HFC after all. I'm happy for you!

I dig those Storm Gears figs, but you know that already.

That Cap isn't for me, but Peggy may get a nab...and Linda Carter Wonder Woman is nice for the nostalgia, but that likeness doesn't do justice to my first childhood crush!

Lulz...young me had to do a lot of s'plainin to friends why I watched Wonder Woman without fail when it came on!

1. THANKS!!!..one of the local crew had the HFC up for sale at cost so i HADDDD to jump on that.

2. LOVE my gears figs... Warden is a BEEEEAST!!!

3. I only grabbed that Cap set because it was on sale. I definitely wasn't' ever buying it at full price. After having it in hand ..i actually really like the Cap figure.. and previously had no desire for it. Peggy I actually liked.. AND.. throw on the Baroness head and you've got you some covert action.

4. Linda Carter was FINE A.F. by TODAY'S standards so back then you KNOW she was fire so no explanation needed..hhaa.. i used to watch it all the time too. The figure is OK looks wise. I wanted it to stand with my Adam West Batman and My C. Reeve Superman. BUUUUT.. Mattel still had a ways to go as far as the functionality of the figure itself.. sheesh. its kinda shitty actually so she'll just stand there and look purty.

I like the Sups and Batman. The BAF is cool looking, but the concept behind it is really silly IMO, but if people dig it...more power.

I've never even read Metal but I'm LOOOVING these figs.
Todd is in his element with the demonic designs... and truth be told i did NOT think i would like this Flash figure.Until i got it in hand .. i like it a LOOOOOT!!..
Thats FARRR from all in though. I don't like or want MOST of this DC line.

Yeah, I was ribbing you about 'all in'. Todd should just rekindle Spawn IMHO. While some of these Metals look quite interesting, they feel like momentary cash-ins on what will most likely be a fleeting fancy.

I look at some of these sculpts and I see great detail (a little inconsistent from fig to fig, but not so much so to be jarring) on not-so-inspired character designs. That's not MacFarlane's fault, that's a DC thing. That said, the "what if Batman was reimagined as everyone" motif, while in keeping with how Macfarlane handled many of Spawn's iterations (Feudal Japan Spawn, Viking Spawn, Mandarin Spawn, etc), isn't exactly what I was hoping for in a DC license.

But, hey, this line is more about a celebration of Macfarlane's return to consistent fig-wares than anything else. I can't imagine most diehard fans caring about things "making sense" or heading in a wider DC fanservice direction as long as the end product looks reasonably cool, which is the case so far with the line.

I haven't seen anything yet that I want to add to my collection, but maybe that will change.

Nice collection and really big awesome hauls. You really like Gears of War, huh. I really like Halo which is another big X-Box franchise.
