A cool surprise would be if Mattel released a Batman 66 line in 4" scale... complete with Batmobile and Batcave playset!

Realistically, however, I don't see this happening. Securing the likenesses of all the actors could be cost prohibitive combined with the likelihood that Batman 66 wouldn't be as appealing to buyers and collectors as Arrow, The Flash and Gotham (three popular DC shows on the air right now) and the Arkham games (with the next one about to be released this summer).

I raise you with Ursa and Non from Superman 2 and the Nuclear/Radiation Man from Superman 4, and Kara from Smallville (hell, a later seasons Clark Kent would be nice, as well as any Lex Luthor)

One more work to show you guys. I got my Multiverse Arkham Origins a few weeks ago. Really didn't like the head although body sculpt was great. I added some additional articulation to him, on the elbows and new hands from a Gi Joe figure. Batrang is a Shapeways printed design. New head is a repainted YJL Batman.

how about the the Justice League from either Doomed or the Crime Syndicate movie? Or just give us the Injustice Lineups (again, Normal heroes, Regime, Resistance and Normal Villains), or even finally use the comic characters (doubtful, but we need something if Total Heroes is done)

Joker featuring the likeness of Jack Nicholson (finally!)

Arrow (from the TV series)

Flash (from the TV series)

Other costumed characters from the Arkham series of games. (In my observation, Mattel appears to stay away from characters who are not wearing "obvious" superhero or villain costumes. So no Oracle or Jim Gordon. )

Wild guess: Selena "Cat" Kyle from the Gotham TV series. (She's the only character on that show who dresses in a way that is closest to a "costume.")

Other wild guesses: Batman, Wonder Woman and maybe Superman from BvS. These would be based on the official images of the characters that have been released so far, and would be released as early previews for adult collectors before the BvS toyline meant for kids is released in 2016 (which will probably have fewer points of articulation, if they even plan to release 4" figures, that is).

So overall, these would be enough to comprise the next DC TV/Movie series Wave: Nicholson Joker, Arrow, The Flash (2014 TV series), Selena "Cat" Kyle, Batman (BvS preview), Wonder Woman (BvS preview) and Superman (BvS preview). Such a Wave would prove to be really popular, I bet.
I love it when they do preview figs for a movie. The idea of a Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman from BvS coming out towards the end of the year would be awesome.

That wave is too good to be true. lol. I'd love a TV version of Arrow and Flash. And i love the idea of preview figures for the big 3. (although it may be too early for that)

Dc said in the beginning that multiverse would cover media outside of comics with that being said there is still so much potential from past movies, animated features, and video games that remains untapped. I think we all agree that we need more then just Arkham figs with a few movie characters sprinkled in.

Wish the 4 pack would come out, Origins Batman looks good.

As interesting as thewriteguy's proposed wave would be, I doubt anything like that will happen. It's too much of a mixed theme to make any sense. If we actually get figures from Arrow and The Flash, I imagine they'll either comprise one wave, or each show will get it's own wave. I sadly don't see Mattel paying any attention to Gotham. Though if they do, I would really want a Penguin figure.

Batman v Superman is another thing I see geting it's own wave... Assuming it get's any Multiverse figures anyways. Though at least the main trio would be nice.

As for a Nicholson Joker... I don't see it ever hapening. He's apparently really strict when it comes to his likeness rights, so I doubt Mattel would be able to get him to ok a Multiverse figure. Though I would absolutely love to be proven wrong about that.

No matter what they do with the line, I'm hoping that Mattel has at least one wave's worth of non-Arkham figures ready to reveal at Toy Fair. Just something to show that the line has a potential future and that calling it "Multiverse" wasn't a complete lie.

I don't disagree with the setbacks you list. My feeling is that Mattel has run out of DC movies and TV shows to mine from: Batman 66, Smallville, and the classic Superman movies after Superman 2, for example, are not popular enough for them to bother with, I feel.

A wave that features Batman, Superman and WW from BvS would give adult collectors more sophisticated versions of these figures over the upcoming toyline for kids in 2016. The question is if WB would sign off on this, allow for preview-figures of these characters to come out several months before BvS is released in theaters.

Arrow, Flash and Selena would together represent the three popular DC TV shows currently on the air. Previous waves have been based on the most popular movies (Batman, Batman Returns, Superman 2). There has not been a wave yet based on TV series, so maybe the next MV wave will have some.

Along with the Christopher Reeve Superman and Michael Keaton Batman, I'd half expect to see a Lynda Carter Wonder Woman or John Wesley Shipp Flash, where the flash figure's suit is felt texture kinda like a Mossman (from Heman) figure to resemble the costume texture in the series. I'd buy those out of humor as well as nostalgia.

Screw it, I'd be down for a smallville justice league. Let's be honest half the shows on TV wouldn't be happening if not for the episodes with league involvement. Plus since batman wasn't in it it would be the one wave without him.

I wish the Multiverse line would steer away from the mostly Batman stuff and get into the other heroes/villains in the universe.

dang it, I ordered Joker and Harley from Amazon, and I got a notice from Amazon that they've been delayed in the Lawnside faculty. Not sure if UPS or USPS will try to get out later in the day (the estimate was end of the day) or wait unit tomorrow (which of course, is the day I work)

I note that Mattel says they need Main characters in every wave since its whatsbthenkids buy. So why does a line for adult collectors have 40% of its figures as batman?

I was able to resist Grundy and Clayface, mainly because I was focusing on Figuarts Injustice Batman and Joker. Man are they both great figs. Maybe, when there's nothing else I'm picking up, I'll get the Clayface. Already have Injustice Grundy and Croc in the 6" DCC figs.

Toy Fair 2015 need only show me some form of Returns Batman. NECA 1/4 scale or 6" or Multiverse...just get me a version of that suit. I'll be happy. Oh, and a Batmobile, whether retail of Arkham Knight or 89. DCC looks to be unvailing an Animated Series Batmobile in 6" scale, you can do Multiverse, Mattel.

Wait... could you elaborate on that comment? Is this something they've actually hinted at?
