Well, imagine that the figure that got you into collecting was exclusive to a subscription box that you have to already be a sort of collector to even buy. Do you think that you would get into collecting in the same way in those circumstances? Plus, it makes backtracking harder for late guys.

Good suggestion, LordMudd

Black wash is putting black paint and adding enough water to dilute it so its a nice mix and basically dip your brush in and lather up the grey areas to enhance the sculpt (YouTube has tutorials). The grey parts im referring to is the costume, the chest/legs.

@Mufan97 it's because it's Reeves for me.

*Reeve. Reeves is used when referring to George Reeves, the guy who played Superman in the 50's TV show. Christopher Reeve is the proper form. I listened to a commentary on the first Superman movie where the guy noted the mistake(which is understandable).

And yeah, it's partially that(I like Christopher Reeve plenty, but I don't really have a definitive film portrayal of Superman, despite me being a big fan since childhood), but it's also because he looks enough like a comic book Superman to work either way, which I love.

Some follow up in the Funko figures, they will not be coming to retail. In short dont expect more DC 9 poa figures from Funko.

It's a really good custom! Like Universe mentioned, a black wash would do it wonders. And the utility belt needs to be yellow or black.

Nothing saying that they won't still include them in the blind boxes, though...

The next answer after his reply to my question was that yes there will be more action figures in the DC collectors boxes but not necessarily in the that style. I would take that to most likely mean reaction figures

So basically, 5 POA stuff that doesn't appeal to me, or larger crap that doesn't appeal to me.

Why can't they sell the 9 POA stuff at retail, though? From my perspective, Mattel isn't doing diddly-squat in this scale for the time being, and all DCC could possibly offer is those New 52 figures that won the poll, so what exactly is keeping them from tapping into a currently untapped collector's market?

The various licensing agreements. Mattel has the movies and tv shows wrapped up. Apparently Funko was able to do the flash and arrow figures because of the retro styling, and the sales were bad.

Yeah I can still get most of these at my B&N, but I did my part, I bought 1 each extra of Flash and Diggle to make the uniform manikins.

Yeah, but I don't see why they can't reach an agreement considering Mattel's abandonment of the scale. Plus, let's look at the millions of 6 inch lines made for Batman v. Superman. Mattel's figures didn't stop THOSE from being made due to styling differences. Wouldn't 9 POA count as that?

In the Arrow suit with the hood up. I took that and the Flash and painted the skin areas silver to make the manikins they store the suits on.

Unsure if I should jump on the Suicide Squad figures on EBay or not. They're quickly turning from reasonable prices to scalper prices, but I only really want Joker...

Money's tight for me but I just jumped on both together for $20 which is ridiculously good considering we'd probably see them at at last $10 each in stores if they were sold there.

Mine won't come till Monday. I went to the eBay route as well. I've been saying for two years that I would like the reaction figures if they only could bend at the knees and elbows. I may have to amend that to I would like the reaction figures if they had knees, elbows, and readily available at cheap enough prices. I don't think I'm down for collector box shenanigans, but as long as those who are sell figs off cheaply, I'm in.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

By the way, just for clarification, the head is from the Adam West batman figure. So there's no filing or sanding involved.
