Well good news is that the multiverse figs fit with the injustice figs size wise.. Nightwing comes up to Batman's nose and bane comes up to Grundy's nose (pretty big).. Freeze is also a tad bit shorter than bane. Articulation on the arms not great and no ankle articulation. Other than that I'm happy. But dont stand him next to superman..

I am hoping to see the 7 pack soon which will also have Robin it (plus Green Arrow and Deathstroke). Once they arrive I have a little modding to do (mostly to replace oversized hands and feet). Best pic I could find is attached. I seem to recall Toyark covering this when they were shown at Toyfare (maybe) but I couldn't find them. IF anyone has the link here feel free to post.

That DS and GA do look pretty good, but I've got no interest after buying the Injustice versions. These newer ones just don't have enough articulation for my tastes. My 6" figures just kind of stand on a shelf, but all of my 3.75" toys go into one big battle display. |

What kind of shoulder articulation do those things have? Looks like they just go up and down...

So my Azrael and Bane from DC Comics Multiverse (Mattel) arrived and I have to say they are really well done and comparable to the Marvel Universe line. I was worried because A) the DC Collectibles 3.75" are a bit small B) Mattel has a crappy track record with the scale C) the press shots of the figures don't do them any favors and D) the articulation seems lacking.
I am pleased to say I was 100% wrong. The scale is very 3.75"-4" ala MU. The figures are scaled closer to the MU 4" scale so they fit in. The articulation is somewhere between the MU line and the Marvel movie line figures. The knees move, the thighs swivel, the legs are T-Crotch style but move in every direction like a ball joint except the ball joint is inside of the figure so it is more limiting. The waist swivels (unlike the Marvel movie lines) and the arms have the internal shoulder ball joint as well. The elbow move up and down only unfortunately and the wrist turns. The neck is a ball as well so the head can move although for these two molds they don't have much to move bc of the sculpt. The paint is perfect (unlike a lot of the MU figures). The accessories are little to none ala MU. All in all these figures are a must buy for the MU side of the house and I HOPE Mattel will keep this line going as MU has been in flux. All in all a keeper and a welcome addition to the scale.

Bane may look alright but Batman is way to short to fit with Marvel Universe or G.I. Joe
Batman's 6'2, way to short compared to these G.I. Joe figures, which are shorter then alot of Marvel Universe. These lack good articulation, sculpt, size...they're duds, the elbow articulation is beyond garbage. It's so limited that it's laughable. Also It's false saying Marvel Movie lines waist don't swivel, I have several that do. Plus lots of the movie lines didn't need waist swivel, they had torso swivel, something all of these lack. ![]()

I'll even add in the fact that while MU no longer has waist swivel, just upper body swivel, they ditched waist swivel a while back completely, it's like chocolate without the peanut butter, or peanut butter without the jelly, or jello without the vodka, it might be good but it ain't great (stick that in yo pipe and smoke it). As for the figures I represented, Azrael and Bane, Bane is HUGE and would crush puny ninjas. Azrael is about the same height as Thor from the movie line (actually a bit taller) but remember MU (as well as GI Joe for that matter) has fluctuated greatly over the years so I can find smaller Spiderman and taller Spiderman than any of these figures, same with Thor, same with Iron Man, same with Hulk (unfortunately, as Bane is taller then some of the recent MU Hulks), same with Captain America (triple dog dare me and I'll prove it to you in pics). As for your sentence of review, I whole heartedly reject it. The Size is more than adequate (minus perhaps Batman, I'll save my pathos for that figure from when I have it in hand, it doesn't look like a great figure from here but the rest of the line looks pretty sharp, especially Freeze who I can't wait to arrive). The articulation is as I presented it, better than recent Marvel similar sized figures (movie duds), not better than past Marvel similar sized figures (MU). Duds they are not. Laughable they are not. You are waaayyyy to picky my friend. May I suggest you take a separate look at the rest of the line before you poo-poo it. It might change your mind or apparently make you laugh. I realize you want Legends in 4" scale but try to have a more open mind and you might find some Christmas joy in your plastic crack.

I don't have Batman yet so I can't comment but it's not false saying the movie lines don't swivel. Update yourself on the latest and greatest coming out from Hasbro and you will find FIXED torsos from the new Captain America 2 line, FIXED torsos from the Captain America 1 line and upper body on some, but NO WAIST swivel and NO UPPER TORSO SWIVEL on the majority of the Thor 2 line (go look at the Dark Elves, Kurse and hell, look at the crap that is the Avengers line, the Chitari or whatever they are called, and shall I point to you the Iron Man 3 line, who are you kidding with the "they had torso swivel" line) and upper torso is OK to have no waist swivel? I think not.

I realize you want Legends in 4" scale but try to have a more open mind and you might find some Christmas joy in your plastic crack. This line isn't a movie line anyway, it's a comic line, lets compare to to Marvel Universe, shall we? Mattel took away the Batman figure's torso articulation for no reason. Yeah, that's sad isn't it? They show us the articulation in the torso at Toy Conventions, in the promos and even the pictures when they are selling the figure, yet the figure has it missing. yeah, that's awful. Also, I noticed you're using one of the older Thor movie bodies to represent height. The new Thor 2 movie figures are MUCH taller then that body. My biggest gripe with this line is they ruined Batman, the main character in the line. He's to short, to limited in articulation and just a flat out dud to me. Bane looks alright but the limited articulation and sculpt leave alot to be desired. Comparing these to Marvel Universe sculpt wise and articulation wise, they fall short, very short. Does Bane's feet move? Does any of them? You may like waist swivel but I'd prefer ab crunch, something I was happy the Batman had, yet they took away. The limited articulation in the arms is also what makes me feel these figures are duds. The regular sized human figures are just to short in comparison with G.I. Joe and Marvel Universe. Bane looks big, but even he doesn't look tall enough considering he's over 7'6 tall in the game. ![]()

I can agree with that.
The Bane figure is HUGE. Bigger than Crossbones. Taller and thicker than Tiger Shark, probably than Sabertooth as well. The figure is taller than that Kurse figure in your pic and definitely thicker (if it helps to scale) so I think the sizing is actually too big in my opinion but probably will be to your liking. The figure is a millimeter shorter than the Hulk (the latest MU mold that was released in Green, Gray and Red versions).

Lots of things are throwing me off with the Bane. The obviously lack of articulation being one but those elbow joints are some of the worst I've seen, same thing on Batman. They're so ugly and limited, it's such an odd choice.
Plus the lack of paint apps on Bane hurt him as well. He just looks cheap. The size is good but considering it's lacking in every other department doesn't give it a pass. I'll still get it because I'm a huge fan of Bane, just got the DC Collectables Origins version. I really wish they didn't paint his eyes yellow too. As I said before though, he's still a tad too short but he looks pretty good compared to his own line. He's just a tad taller in the game but I like the height of the figure, works better then making him overly tall like the game did, so it's cool. I just wish they had designed these figures to fit with G.I. Joe, Marvel Universe considering those are the figures people have 100's of. The lack of good articulation and lack of needed articulation make these figures less desirable and it's no wonder they're selling so cheap on Amazon. I think for the price of 7 bucks, they're good value but anything over they become to expensive. It's a damn shame Mattel doesn't want to give us double jointed knees, something Hasbro has giving us for years. If only we could get a DC line as good quality as G.I. Joe and Marvel Universe... It's a shame we'll apparently never get a Batman that is as articulated as a Snake Eyes figure. ![]()

Well lets wait for the DCC Injustice one altought some of the figures have been small also when compared to GI Joe and also the articulation has issues. It's there but some seem so fragile or the sculpt avoids movement. Anyway lets wait and see what comes hopefully next year because for sure it won't be this year as they said it

And the last DC Infinite Heroes Batman had a ton too, knee joints (ball swivel), ankles (swivel and up/down), hips (ball joint), waist, shoulder (ball joint), elbows (ball joint), wrist and neck ball.
Literally everything the same as Snake Eyes except for double hinged knees (Bats are ball joints so technically have more motion that SE but can't sit on his knees). I think the only DCIH Bats issue is the size is 3.75" so it is smaller than GI Joe.

It's atrocious! I'm sorry but that is one of the ugliest articulated figures. Articulation like that makes him look like a Robot, plus it's a Japanese import. Both of those could win awards for most awkard ugly 3.75 inch figure. It fits with nothing but Microman figures anyway.
Either way I'm talking about Mattel, Mattel will never give us a Batman that is as well made, equal articulation as one of the best G.I. Joe Snake Eyes. ![]()
