I hope you are wrong about that! But if they don’t take advantage of the scale, I imagine another company might petition DC to release figures at 1:18. A la Hiya a few years back. #neversurrender lol

I truly don't understand the aversion to 1/18 scale. The scale offers the best balance between detail and playsets and vehicles. Go smaller and the face details suffer and weapons become too fragile. Go larger and vehicles and playsets become too large and heavy. What other scale has offered the variety of vehicles, playsets, weapons, and accessories? Nothing comes close.

First real look (that I've seen at least) at Spin Master Superman. And at the bottom they say that stuff will drop May 15th.

Shown below is the new Spin Master’s Kaiju Slime Battle set which will have a MSRP: $29.99. The set features a 4" Superman vs the Kaiju monster that features a lever situated on the monster’s back that makes its arms go up and down as well as a button on the kaiju’s chin, when hit, causes the beast’s organs to ooze out of its body with Slime that is included.

Yeah no interest in the goofy monster so I'll go for the single version. I do think this Superman will fit in quite well with Batfleck from the Flash though so I'm looking forward to that.

The Fortress of Solitude is a bit of a downer. Most of it is just cardstock backdrops. I figured it would scale well coming from the Super Powers line, but there is very little substance to it.

that's more like "Fortress of Solitude Computer Desk" than anything
I don't suppose anyone could mock up/photoshop a regular "S" symbol onto that Superman? |

I had Gemini generate some Fortress of Solitude playsets. Kinda hard to control the details, but any one of them would have been preferable, in my opinion.

Didn't know they existed until this post. 29.99 at Target is steep, but it's hard to find a teen or child body size in 1:18 scale, especially with this level of articulation. The Jurassic park teenage figures are a recent exception. For the Minecraft figures, the Steve figure is another more unique size/shape. I can think of only a few overweight 1:18 figures.

I picked up that setand a few single packed Steves for customs.
And now I find this 8 pack. Which I want four of but way to pricey. Hopefully they sell the 2 female figures through some of ther options. https://a.co/d/4O0fJs6 |

I don't wanna spend all that at once for a multipack right now, I wish the Minecraft civvies were *all* individually carded. That way it'd be easier to pick up multiples of ones I want to make multiple customs of too.

The other good things about the minecraft figures is they're 1/18. So mattel has both JP and Minecraft lines in this scale. Would make sense they for DC too. Depending on how cgi heavy Lobo is they might be able to use two of the figures for dc sculpts next year.
