Oh sweet! Someone tested out the Adam West Batman head for me!

No problem!

Also, I didn't notice that. Not sure if the West head is slightly different from the other Batman heads in terms of the sculpt or just a repaint, but his face looks a lot more than West than it did before for some reason.

Okay, I had kinda figured that Funko's Arrow and Flash Reaction figures were the main reason we didn't get 3 3/4 inch Multiverse figures of them, but this has just started bugging me.

The Funko guy on that forum said that they "still can't sell DC figures at retail," but the Reaction figures WERE sold at retail, if what I believe is correct, so that means that Reaction constitutes as a different styling in the same way as Pops do.

Thus, it means that the rights likely are sitting with Mattel to make 3 3/4 inch Arrow and Flash figures, so why didn't we get any whilst the Multiverse line still existed? And why can't Mattel let them sell them now, since they clearly don't want to tap into our corner of the market for this stuff?

From all appearances, Mattel is not trying to make figures for the TV properties only the movie properties. Until those characters cross over, nada.

They've made 6 inch DCTV figures, though...

Yes, in an earlier post he had said that the only reason the were allowed to sell reaction figures for the DC lines was they were in the retro style. That's why they can't do it with the more detailed sculpts of the 9 poa line.

I would check out the Funko Fanatics page. They are the most responsive and honest of any of the Q&A people I've ever seen. They actually just added a secrion for the 9 poa figures to seperate them from reaction figures

You know, the longer the 3 3/4 inch Multiverse line is gone, the more I see that Mattel only intended it to be a throwaway line,

It is my opinion that Mattel sees everything as competition for Heman. Doing just enough to keep the DC license locked up blocks it as a competitor.

Just had a little light bulb moment about a Ra's al Ghul custom that takes advantage of all the pegwarming Multiverse Zods out there. It's a really simple custom that doesn't require any painting. Just get the Zod figure and put a black soft goods cloak/robe on him. I was thinking about using the Black Series Malgus cloak on him. The Zod figure already looks like Ra's without his cloak. Thoughts?

Beard isn't long enough, especially for the movie version, hair isn't thick enough, and the sideburns need to be cleaned off. Maybe 2/3 hours of sculpting tops. If you do the TV version you need a belt buckle.

Arrival!

Harley's a decent fig. Nice sculpting and lettering and some very intricate details. The only major downside I see is that it looks like the lettering on her back rubbed off or wasn't finished and thus just says "Propert of Joke". She also comes with a baseball bat that says "Goodnight". Not sure I'd've paid $10 for her in a store (maybe like $7 or something) but considering that I paid around that for each of the Arrow/Flash figs maybe I would have.

Joker's pretty terrible tbh even for a turd of a design like his. Looks nothing like him in the face, the tats look very stencyled on and not tattoo-like, he's not pale enough, and the coat is atrocious. It's sculpted as part of his chest and then below the hips it just... hangs there... with joints so his legs can move. Also he seems to have bat symbols all over thighhigh boots which I have seen in zero pictures of the character. He also does not come with a weapon.

Do you realize how rare Darth Malgus is? There has to be a better source.

Really gotta buy that figure eventually. He's been cheap the entire time he's been on the market, but I've just been prioritizing other figures.

Ya, it was just the only one I could think of off the top of my head since he's the only figure I have with a black soft goods cloak. I got him at a TRU Express in a mall while driving to Florida. Didn't even know the value, I just thought it looked really cool. Do you know of any other figures with black soft goods cloaks that would work with this?

I'm only more mad about the lack of proper DCTV figures in this scale after the reveal of Kid Flash.

The DC Multiverse one? I can't really see that and besides, I think soft goods would work best for this one. But thanks for the suggestion!
