Is this really necessary?

The better question should be 'is this really not necessary'?

Talk about uncanny valley. HT is borderline voodoo doll accuracy with their stuff lately.

I don't think it looks much like her at all. I could point her out of a lineup because of the costume and whatnot, but they really dropped the ball on her likeness. When HT is on, they're definitely on, but when they're off, it's a really expensive cosplay figure.

And the answer to your question is yes, this figure definitely is not necessary.

I don't think it looks much like Margot Robbie, either.

In hand the likenesses for Hot Toys are very good even far better that to what is shown as the prototype. I own a 1/6 Guardians of the Galaxy Star Lord and can vouch on that. I have all the more respect for Hot Toys especially customer service wise they're very polite and forthright and when I emailed them didn't take longer than two days to respond. Now I'm not exactly sure if the prisoner Harley is honestly necessary, in that they did the whole line and now doing more variants I don't know.

That is absolutely stunning- But I already have the standard on order and don't do HotToys duplicates. I imagine "Doctor" Quinzel isn't too far away now.... and the gold dress from the nightclub....and of course there was the split second scene of her and Joker from the Alex Ross painting...

I don't think you have any idea what Hot Toys does. You keep just throwing out random nobodies and meaningless names in ever single Hot Toys thread.

It's more specific than that. Rooker seems to specifically say South and East Asian musicians or actors (smaller ones, like more TV-level, as far as I can tell), and Pokemon. This isn't even the only site he does this on, I've also seen him occasionally in the comments on news articles on MarvelousNews.com. Honestly, at this point, I don't think he's serious.

I think the biggest offender after looking at the comparison picks is the mouth, which is unfortunately one of her most defining features. But also the shape of the eyes is a bit off and the jawline could use some tweaking. Fixing the mouth would help a lot, though.

The face matches, it's just that it's too wide. Look at the first comparison shot with her real face, the toy half is wider :<
