Forgot to post these when I bought the figure but here is a comparison between the 5 pack Poison Ivy and the single figure release (original on the right & re-release on left). You can see they used different shades of green on the re-release

Not sure if any of the others (Bane, Killer Croc & Mr Freeze) had any differences

Anyone planning to get the new Red Hood & Azrael figures? They are listed to come out in the next couple of weeks

Got my Pile of Loot from BBTS and among the figures included was the Adventures Continue BTAS Batman.

First and foremost, the figure does not use the articulated chest or fabric cape that was used on the Batcycle Batman figure and was shown in some of the solicitation pictures. However, the figure does use the new articulated legs from the Batcycle Batman which includes ball jointed hips, double jointed knees, and boot swivels. The new hips in particular allow the figure to kick it's leg up higher than the original.

Aside from the new cel shading on the suit, the biggest paint changes are on the face. The eyes are fully painted this time, making them look larger. The skin is also painted and there is a thin, black line to keep the mouth visible. The grey suit and the yellow used for the belt and bat symbol are also darker on this new release.

Overall, the new figure is an improvement over the original but not leaps and bounds better. The cel shading is cool but the real reason to pick this figure up, in my opinion at least, is for the improved leg articulation and paint work on the face. Everything else about the figure is the same. As of right now, the only re-releases I'm planning on getting are the Joker (for the new head), Catwoman (for the unmasked head), and The New Batman Adventures Batman (my original release broke at the ankle).

Nice! I have Harley on the way since I missed the original release. I was going to skip Bats, but looking at your pics, the head is definitely better than the original. I'm just not big on the cell shading. Any idea how easy it would be to swap heads?

The BTAC Batman has some cell shading on the top of the the head, in between the bat ears. If you wanted to use it, you’d need to paint over the cel shading.

I’ve never tried removing the head but it should be the same as the original.

Someones posted a review of the animated Red Hood fig

And Adventure Continues Batman

Honestly I might give this one a skip, it looks like the Batcycle version might be the best one of the various Animated Batman's they have released due to having the ab crunch and cloth cape

Sigh, all my pre-orders at Forbidden Planet UK have been cancelled due to the DC/Diamond split

Really hoping DC find some way to get these figures out to collectors in the UK!

EDIT - looks like they have now been relisted so hopefully it was a temporary glitch!

EDIT 2 - Nope they have all been de-listed again

If anyone has picked up the new Justice League Hawkgirl and was pissed that she doesn't come with her trademark mace, Boss Fight Studio makes one for their Vitruvian HACKS figures that scales perfectly and looks great. She holds it pretty well, too. You can find 'em loose (and cheap) on ebay.

Did you have a hard time popping Hawkgirl's wings on her back? I tried for 10 minutes the other night and was afraid to break the sockets.

Update: never mind, used a little soap and was able to get the wings in.

I've heard a rumor that due to DC Direct closing some of the later figures like Catwoman 2.0, Batman Who Laughs & Vampire Batman have been cancelled

Does anyone know if this is true?

Saw this reported on another forum with a screenshot that seemed to confirm it. Really sucks.

My pre-order for Catwoman was canceled. I have the original. Found an original Batgirl TAS for $25 at LCS 2 weeks ago. I grabbed it off the shelf so fast.

That really sucks if the line is cancelled

I finally managed to get a Red Hood & Azrael from BBTS after my pre-orders were cancelled - both are really cool figures! Need to get Deathstroke & DKR Batman still

The entire DC Collectibles/Direct division is being shut down so all of their lines are ending prematurely. It's all a part of WB cutting down which has particularly hit DC hard.

Yeah I knew that we wouldn't be getting any new figures, I was just sad that it meant the rest of the announced figures like Catwoman 2.0 & Batman Who Laughs wouldn't be getting made to (I had thought they were already at the factories/warehouses and would still get released like Azrael & Red Hood)

Picked up Superman at my LCS yesterday, I had managed to get the Lois Lane figure from the 2 pack a few years ago but not him

Is the JL Superman the exact same as the S:TAS Superman?

I've heard some mixed reviews on the JL figures (mainly re: joints and plastic used), are they worth getting?

I have Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Hawk Woman, GL and Martian Manhunt. They don't stand at all. Too top heavy. I am using Gorilla Glue sticky tac which helps. They need stands. Sculpting is good. I wish I had bought some of the earlier versions. If you like a certain character, then get it but also get a stand for it.

That's a shame to hear, wish they had brought in the double knee joints before as they are so top heavy (Bane is really hard to stand IMO)

My favorite is a toss up between Phantasm and the Joker (I only ever got the original, not the expression pack version). My least favorite would be TNBA Riddler, I never even once considered buying that toy. My biggest disappointment though was Ra's Al Ghul, I really wanted to like it but they just chose such terrible accessories for him. Since they opened the line up at the end by adding the Justice League figures I actually find it too hard to single out a want from across the entire DCAU, there's too much to choose from.

Nice list, my favorites are:

BTAS Batman (Batcycle version)
BTAS Joker (Expression pack)
BTAS HARDAC Batman
BTAS Gray Ghost
BTAS Commissioner Gordon
BTAS Harvey Bullock
BTAS Clayface
BTAS Ventriloquist & Scarface
BTAS Scarecrow
BTAS Two-Face
TNBA Nightwing
TNBA Joker
TNBA Mr Freeze
TNBA Firefly
TNBA Scarecrow
Batman Beyond, Bruce Wayne & Ace
The Batmobile

Least Favorites:
BTAS Joker (original version with the Mr Sardonicus face)
BTAS Ra's Al Ghul (not a fan of the costume they used)
BTAS Batman from Phantasm 2 pack (exactly the same as the BTAS single version - should have been battle damaged or some kind of difference from the standard version)

Biggest wants:
Alfred/Batcave
Jet Pack Joker/Battle Damaged Batman (from MOTP)
Red Claw
Clock King
Ubu
Lex Luthor
Darkseid
Zeta
Static Shock

Late reply, but yeah, I had a lot of trouble getting the wings in. I ended up using a little hot water and that worked just fine.

I liked the Batman Beyond, old Bruce and Ace set, BTAS Batgirl, BTAS Catwoman and Etrigan.
Talia, Ivy and Killer Croc are next.
Hawkgirl and John Stewart are my least favorite. Hawkgirl needs accessories.

Nice picks! and agreed Hawkgirl without a mace is just ridiculous!
