Not nit picking, but I don’t think it is clear, that laughing fish is just a reused accessory that came with the single release BTAS Harley Quinn, like all the accessories in this set are reused, it’s like saying because their is a donut accessory it must be an homage to that episode where Bullock eats a donut.

Well, this MOSC Ventriloquist went for 150$, so maybe my theory is wrong, LOL.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/404003754455 Gotta agree it is likely the pack is a hommage to the Laughing Fish episode. Also, I don't think regular Harley came with that scepter? Quote:
I don’t know how it happened, but I can’t imagine any other scenario where someone thought Bullock would be the right figure to go with the other three, out of all the figures they could have done. Rupert Thorne is genuinely the one villain that they didn’t do that I want more than any other, proper slime ball character, but great, I wouldn't have minded a Roland Daggett either. I was a bit miffed when they started doing Adventures continue before what I thought were some obvious choices, TNBA Penguin and Mad Hatter, Maxie Zeus, Hugo Strange, Bruce Wayne, Dick etc, and of course like you said, Clock King. There was a Baby Doll packed in with TNBA Croc, she was also TNBA version, but if I recall right there wasn’t much difference in looks between that and the BTAS version.
I also didn’t get the cave or the Rogues Gallery set, so don’t have Alfred or Renee either which is annoying, and both sets are way too pricey to get now. I did appreciate the villains getting a single release, but I would have liked Freeze to come with the little Nora in a snow globe like he did in the Rogues Gallery set. Man I want this line back so bad. Good call, Maxie Zeus should also be made. Dr. Hugo Strange too. And maybe Lucius Fox, even though he was not that prevalent in the show. I'd kill for a Romulus in werewolf form too! Oh, I did not know Freeze had the snowglobe in the Rogues' Gallery set! Damn shame they did not include that with him in the regular release. We can only hope they continue this line. I have seen the "animated" Batman, Superman and John Stewart in the MacFarlane line and honestly they are OK but the inaccuracies bother me, they just had to try and redesign them. And considering the MacFarlane line is like, 6 Batmans and maybe 1 more non-Batman character in one wave, it'd be ages before we get anyone there. Well the whole series was a mix of TNBA and TAS from the beginning. We even got TNBA Batman well before the TAS one. I even skipped him at the time... Good call, Maxie Zeus should also be made. Dr. Hugo Strange too. And maybe Lucius Fox, even though he was not that prevalent in the show. I'd kill for a Romulus in werewolf form too! Although I have been collecting the McFarlane animated stuff I have to agree, something is off with them, I think they tried too hard to be different from what DC Direct had already given us, although they aren’t exactly screen accurate, I still like them for the figures they are. I don’t know if and when we will see another one, every DCAU figure they have released thus far I’ve seen for clearance prices, you can still get them all now cheap and easy. |
