Yah. The "Earth Elemental" version popularized by Moore and Bissette has not been action-figured yet. I'm not sure DC Collectibles is up to the job. I'm not sure who COULD do the job, but I for one would like to see SOMEbody produce dark, gritty versions of Constantine (resembling Sting), Phantom Stranger, Abigail Arcane and Swampy as they appeared during that period, and free of those square ab crunches. It'll never happen.

Yay? I've gotta be honest, I'm losing my desire to have a DC figure collection anymore. I think I might just go with Batman and Flash characters all around and then certain others be it the main members of the League or my top favorites.

A little late but to the Rebirth Justice League is way more than just repaints for Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Aquaman. Flash has new boots and I think Cyborg and GL might be the only straight up re-releases. That "repaint" photo is just a stock image or whatever. Toyarc has a whole gallary but I don't post enough to add links yet.

Not quite.

The Superman Rebirth Icon does have new lower legs, waist, and lower arms, but the rest is a repaint.

Batman is a repaint of the New 52 prototype they were shown, just with a different belt. Also, I believe he is still just a repaint of the first Batman.

Wonder Woman is a repaint of the one coming out.

Aquaman has a new upper torso and head.

Flash is the same as the N52 Flash.

You left some items out:

Superman - New head, cape, lower arms, boots and crotch piece

Wonder Woman - If the cardboard cutout pic is accurate, it's almost an all new figure. I just compared the single release to the pack and it looks like she has an all new skirt, head sculpt, upper torso, and lower arms. I'm pretty sure the New 52 WW was just going to be the rerelease of the single carded figure
Aquaman - From the first release, pretty much just the shoulders, biceps, and upper legs look to be reused.
Batman - Based on what the New 52 figure that was shown, new lower arms and hands, new head sculpt, new cape (very hard to tell but you can tell bc the Rebirth cape goes more over the shoulders than the the New 52 one did and has less tips on the bottom of the cape), and new crotch piece. It looks like the feet are from the new 52 but I can't tell if the shin piece is a reuse of the series one Batman (the New 52 had more armored look to them).

Maybe we use the term repaint differently, but to me, it means all same parts, just repainted. I will say that I will be a little ticked if the Batman is as short as the series one. I think he will be taller with the new feet and headsculpt but it will be hard to tell until the release.

Superman's cape doesn't look any different to me.

You're right about the head though. BTW, I said waist, meaining crotch piece, and lower legs, which also meant the boots.

Sorry, I meant Superman's cape was different from the single classic costume release.

I hear you on the waist and crotch, I always think of them as separate pieces but then I keep forgetting the Icons don't have the waist swivel.

Aw man, they DUN FUCKED JOKER UP!!!!!!

Jay C has just reviewed him and he doesn't come with any additional left hands, so he only has a fisted hand, which makes no sense when they gave him a god damned tommy gun. BUT, he comes with a laughing fish holding hand for the fishes that come in the FREAKING ACCESSORY PACK!!!! Why not just put that hand in the accessory pack with the fishes and give him a left hand to hold the gun?

Also, his legs can not be straightened, so they are always at an angle. Oh, and if you hate the red dots in the eyes, he has those too. Fianlly, no chest swivel at all.

I'm pretty pissed, but I'll still get him because I'm a dumbass. The sculpt itself is still good and I need an Icons Joker to go with my Icons Batman. I just don't understand why every company has such a friggin problem giving us a fully articulated Joker, especially DC when they should be an expert at this game by now. What was the point of a 9 month delay of this figure if they weren't going to use that time to fix any of the negatives with the sculpt?

Ugh, I was really looking forward to this figure. I really hate questioning DCC's decisions at times but if you are not going to give us any hands to properly pose the Tommy Gun, why not just give us the revolver instead?

At first, I liked the idea of the accessory pack as it gave up more accessories if we wanted them and still keep the main figure prices down but it's going to be a huge turnoff for me if I am forced to buy these packs to get essential accessories to my favorite characters.

Seeing the size of this Joker makes me even more annoyed about the Batman height. Even if it is Grayson or whatever, the fact that we are almost five waves into this series and don't have a decent sized Batman is annoying to me. I'm going to be really ticked if the Rebirth Batman is small like the series one

Joker is supposed to be taller than Batman though. Joker is 6'3", Batman is 6'2".

Right but based on the review, Joker was a lot taller than the wave one Batman. That Bats is about the same height as Harley. I feel a Bruce Wayne Batman should be a lot closer in height than what the wave one figure is.

Nah, Batman is taller than Harley. Anyway, it's not like this will be the final version of Batman any of us ever own. DC will surely do a Neal Adams version at some point.

Yeah, I just checked and Bats is taller than I give him credit but still too short imo. I was talking about it on another site, but I am sure that we will get a ton of Batmans in the future. I'm not really sure why Last Rites was the choice for the first one. Neil Adams or Lee's Hush would have made more sense to me. I'm probably just bitter about the height and that Bats is my favorite and I feel jibbed as a lot of the other characters in the line are pretty well done imo.

Either way, making a Batman figure is like printing money for DC so we will get a ton of variations as this line continues.

Sounds about right. I got an email from BBTS last Monday saying they expected to have Firestorm in ten business days. I'm kind of surprised I haven't see one for Joker yet since Australia has gotten him.

Just Firestorm? Why would the only ship 1 figure instead of the whole wave?

Anyway, I canceled my Firestorm preorder because I don't need him.
